Can anyone tell me the wire size diameter of the ULE body C-Clip?

Care to share with the rest of the class why you are inquiring?

I would venture to say that either he is sourcing the clips or making a groove for them...inquiring minds DO want to know.:D

I'm working on new slug bodies, and I want to add a wire clip to hold the stainless spring cups in place. Mine will be a larger diameter than the AGD ones but the same wire size. Unfortunately I have never been able to source the AGD ones, I believe they are a proprietary part so I'll probably end up having to have them made.

Just curious, if you (Luke) or anyone knows, with aftermarket bodies/ule bodies was there any reason why the detent was never placed under the body and use like a small detent like a spyder or tippmann style detent?

Yes there is a reason but I did pull it off with the Unibody I designed. The problem is the Detent needs to go where the front grip frame screw lives. I solved the problem by going to two front screws, one to attach the rail to the body and one to hold the grip frame to the rail.

Ahhhh gotcha, never realized that the Deflators didn't have side detents

I've got something like 50 of the Unibody Slugs just sitting, one day I'll get around to designing something around those. lol

You have any designs drafted up?

Besides the Deflator the only other body that I've done is the Armada, I'll probably do a few of those first. Beyond that, just vague ideas of a few different designs I'd like to do, but bodies will probably be my main focus this coming year..

An Armada body and rail might bring me out of mag building retirement, maybe.

Still got that brand new dust black valve and an M86 V2....

Why doesn't the body and rail line up on the sides? If they did there would be more space to design a shape smoothly between the two.

Because 90% of the material tends to get machined away, that said if I ever needed it to match I would just make more rails. ;)

Hey Luke, have you considered trying a epsilon or slimline themed body as possibility? The armada body you mentioned, is that the one featured in the foregrip pics?

100423Damn, looks nice. Since I know that pics never do these mag builds justice, I'm sure it looks much nicer in person.

I've never really considered it, it's more likely I'll come up with new designs. As for the Epsilon, I've only ever made/sold 3 of those and they were made from factory AM rails. Initially there seemed to be interest in the Hybrid Epsilon so I redesigned them for the hybrid platform but haven't sold any yet. I only made 3 so it's no big deal but with the lack of interest it's not likely I'll put any more effort in that direction.

With the Slimline, when I first released that design there was exactly zero interest. I sat on them for several years and finally had to discounted them 50% just to get rid of them. I've sold a few on the Hybrid platform but it's not really enough interest to prompt any effort to design a body to match, but who knows? Time will tell I suppose. :)

Right on, although I'm looking forward to see what slug design you come out with.
