Recently got marker back from anno. After reinstalling everything to lowers, I am not getting any power to board.

Battery dated 5/26/2017. Was bought brand new then. Marker was last used in late August. Battery was removed and have been sitting in basement since before charging recently.

Battery was charged overnight before using.
Power wire soldered connection point to board checked.
Solder points on battery checked.

Gonna run to hardware store to grab multimeter to test battery.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190213/6083c76dff3ba71414e3b9ec68eeb5a8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190213/802b5408daa7af512033e4813019994a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190213/e20c0724698428c39aed769ec0f5aeb0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190213/66593567bfc3db10cfc3a321a389af55.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190213/b5aff4dcd2db8d13cef230c7e960fbd3.jpg

Make sure the ground connections are good for the board screw to the frame. And the ground stud in the front where the battery touches off to it.

if your electrical connections check out then make sure the magnet on the trigger is in the correct polarity for the hall effect sensor. i have had this problem before. you can just remove the trigger and see if the board powers up.

Just remember that anodizing is NON conductive, so my guess is your ground is bad.

If I was to run a tap through those openings, what size should I use?

I can't help with that, but I'm sure Tuna can.

Show us a pic before you send it.

If the frame just got annodized, then the screw hole that the board gets its ground connection at is probably acting like an insulated surface. You will need to clean out the screw hole with a 4-40 tap. It's quite easy if you have the tap and don't want to send the gun in to have it done.

He noticed some sparks and now the display and board are dead. The ground lug hole is now too big after anno. More to come.

That's a bit of a problem. At least the hole can be opened and retapped.

Hopefully, the sparks are just from a rough connection that has blackened and not a short to a part of the board that could cause a blown part.
