Trying to get some parts box markers up and running when I found this old girl. She was leaking down the power tube. When I opened it up to replace the orings I found that the powertube has about 1/2 inch of movement in and out of the valve. It appears to be held in with an O clip (basically a small thin key ring?). Powertube has a spring instead of a spacer also if that helps ID it.

Level 5 valve. If you search you will find the list of the updates.

A lot has changed since I’ve been on. Trying to figure out this Tapatalk app on my phone. Tried searching level 5 and got 500 posts about everything except level 5...

Is that 1/2 inch of play normal for this valve?

Correct. When it’s aired up it’s fine.

Roger. I’ll replace some orings and spring/spacer to fix the leak.

Wanted to know if the moving powertube was normal before chasing a leak.

Thanks!

level 5 stuff is somewhat sought after since so few of them remain(we think). if you had the complete marker it would be more so.

You need to hunt down a standard feed glass beaded body, an original rail, and a pot metal single trigger frame to complete an original mag. You will need an original pre crown point barrel too. I like seeing the original unmodified guns put together in mint condition.
