Who here has ever tried these things out? Today I got bored so me and my brother went to Academy-local sporting goods store and bought a couple. THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN. It's just like paintball and you can play in your backyard. at first i didn't think it would hurt so my dad said "let me shoot you" i said "ok" he shot me in the arm and it left a bloody welt just like in paintball. Everyone should try this. The one i bought was only $14.99. It shot alot farther and fast and straighter than the $24.99 semi auto my brother bought. And the little bb's are only $6 for 1000 compared to paintballs about $39.00 for 1000. It's really cheap and really fun.

you were shooting bb's at each other?because those things also shoot paintballs, hard to find paintballs, but paintball, none the less.

My and my friends tend to do this on weekends, we all have spent about 200 bucks on guns, i have a full size mp5 gas blow back desert eagle and bereta and I have a battery powerd m-16. Its so much fun we buy bb's in bulk 100,000 for 119.99. We usually play in a empty house at the end of the block so muchh fun, we can play when it rains or snows, plus we set up a heater so its not really that cold.

I bought a ICS/AE H&K MP5A5 airsoft gun for about $210 (my friends were trying to talk me out of it because they still wanted me to play paintball). Airsoft rocks.( Right now, it is my alternative to paintball....since paintball costs so much. For $20, you can get 4,000 high quality BB's. I intend to put real gun parts on it to add to the realism.

I was going to pick up a beautiful Steyr AUG. I forget who made it, some Japanese company. Thing was about $600CAN
Same weight/length as a real one. You could take it apart the same way as a real one.

I woulda bought it too, if i actually knew someone who had one. No sense in forking out all that cash just to have it sit in my room.

get a MP5A5 or MP5A4......the MP5A4 can hold a larger battery because of the fixed stock. The MP5 with battery and charger is $225 + 35 = $260. The MP5 already comes with a 200 round magazine. Depending on the brand of MP5 you buy, the ICS(Airsoft Elite) brand shoots 320-330 FPS. The Tokyo Marui brand shoots 280-300 FPS. The Classic Army shoots 360 FPS. The prices I just mentioned are for the ICS/Airsoft Elite brand.

ICS/Airsoft Elite and Classic Army MP5's are metal. Whatever is metal on the real gun is metal on the airsoft version. The Tokyo Marui version is plastic. The Classic Army's finish on the gun looks more of a really dark grey than a full black. Which is why I bought the ICS/Airsoft Elite version. But the Classic Army is heavier, making it more realistic.

About upgrading the ICS/Airsoft Elite. If you plan to do FPS upgrades(I want to make mine go 450 FPS)...you have to change the Hop-Up unit. which costs $40-50 to do. You can buy the unit at airsoft stores. such as www.airsofttoys.com .............................But if you want a Airsoft Elite MP5A5 or MP5A4 with battery and charger for $260....go to http://www.infinityairsoft.net/electric.asp?manufacturer=ae

Browse around there other guns if you don't like the MP5......The AK-47's, M16's, G3's, and MC51's are all good guns...

By the Way....battery size matters. the small/Mini/stick battery is limited to 600Mah. That will only last you about 400-600 shots. but Large/standard batteries can range from 600mah to 3000mah. but Most guns arent big enough to hold the 3000mah. so get a 1500mah. That will still last you a pretty damn long time.

The MP5's have 3 modes.....Safe, Semi, and Full auto....they shoot about 10-13 shots a second. but the higher the voltage of the battery...the faster it shoots. Normal batteries are 8.4 volts. If you stick a 9.6 volt in there...it will shoot a hell of a lot faster

yea yea they may look like real guns, but paintball is way better. I bet some airsoft players get in those childish arguements like "Ha i shot you your dead!" "no you didn't!" "yes i did i shot you!!"

Airsoft is based on the honor system. If you're hit from about 80 feet away, chances are, you won't feel it that much. But people who play MilSim(Military Simulation) don't cheat. They want everything to be realistic as possible. Which is why you'll probably see some people carrying around standard magazines that only hold 28 rounds. But, if you play paintball type games(Like capture the flag or something) then getting a Hi-capacity magazine would be a good idea....especially if the opponent uses Hi-Caps.....

But with the popularity of airsoft growing and growing....more and more @ssholes are starting to play.......like paintball
