I'm doing some experimenting with a standard carbon fiber frame, and I'm playing around with ways to reduce the slop and the side-to-side movement. However, every idea that I have involves cutting (and therefore weakening) the plastic trigger.

The best solution I can think of to this problem is to use a metal trigger instead, but AGD never made one to my knowledge. Not for the classic CF frame, anyway. So what about a trigger from a different gun, like a Crossman BB gun? This metal trigger looks pretty similar, but I'm not sure I want to spend $30 to find out if it will work.

Has anyone else ever tried something like this?

Find a Dye double trigger and cut the bottom trigger off. Best single trigger I have found. I may have some left...

That's a great idea. Thanks!

I saw this style on eBay, too. (https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F16 0593526399)

Your best bet is to look for a KAM 86 single trigger frame. The best single out there
