Ken was nice enough to email me pics of my emag parts that i had done in translucent red even though they are being sent out on monday but still I'm very impressed with his work. The parts are beautiful.

Awesome! Is that an annodized finish or powdercoat??

LaW
03-06-2002, 08:18 PM
translucent powdercoating in translucent red... translucent is the closest to an actual anno job supposedly.

I'd like him to do my E-mags grip, sight rail, battery, and the body rail like that. Could he remove the "Emag" bubble stickers, do the job, and then replace them?

They say a picture says a thousand words. Very nice and I'm sure they'll look even better when it's all back together. I had Ken do a two color fade on my RT Pro and it came out excellent. I also used translucent colors and it's amazing how much it looks like annodizing. I would highly recommend Ken and KP Customs. He does great work, is great deal with and is also a Mag owner so he knows what he's doing.

Hello, I'm Ken Wenclasky. I own K&P Customs. I am a One - Man - Shop. I have a full time job and do this on the side as a hobby. I would like to do it full time but we all know how that goes ..

I don't like to give out turn around times. They just piss off customers if there not met. Somethings happen that are out of my controll and that. Prices are posted on my web site for custom milling and powder coating. I can not match color do to it being a powder form. I do know Redrider is doing powder coating and this is why I haven't posted in here. I don't like to intrude on other business's grounds.

For the translucents color to come out as chrome colors they need to be polished. There is a $45.00 polishing fee ( I send it the polishing out ) min. I do have a stripping fee of $15.00 but if the part needs to be polished I wave this cost to do it must be striped anyway. I have done some mag owners here and I hope we can do business again ..

Please let Redrider have first dibs on your business for he was the first here ...

Ken, Thank you. I feel alot like you about intruding. Its cool to have another hobbiest who likes the same thing. I can't believe we live in Michigan. What are the chances of having 2 powdercoating hobbiest from the same state.

May I add, two awesome powdercoaters, in the same state?

That powercoating is the shiz, I would have someone do it to mine, but my entire color scheme is black, grey, and smoke.

Thought I would drop a note in the line for Ken at KP Customs. He did my 68mag in a translucent green, a couple barrels too. That fancy drop of mine is a custom job done by a smith here in my town...it was very rough and is in steel rebar. Ken cleaned it up a lot! Looks sharp and it is by far my pride and joy.
Again thanks ken, we will be talking to you again. I may have more projects for you down the line.

I appreciate the compliments and so does Grene' :) As far as to green; yeah, but I play more tree ball than anything. So the volitol green is A.O.K. with me.

I'm making the cocker valve tool to sell at the Monster Game. You asked about when you were at the shop ..

Fred
04-05-2002, 06:39 PM
I'll be sure to pick one up... but too bad I'm trading that cocker in a few weeks for a Sterling STP... :)

I'm sure that a Sniper II will make it into my gear bag sometime in the near future though.

No more semis for me until I get a Mag to go with the pump kit I'm picking up! :)

Ken just got through with my baby last night, its absolutely gorgeous. the photos don't do it justice, the pieces he did for me look like color tinted mirrors.

the designs that he bead blasted in shimmer like diamond in the sunlight. he does phenomenal work and is a really great guy, the girlfriend and i spent a few hours in his shop just talking and playing with his assortment of toys. if you want some nice work done, think about giving ken a call.

That thing rocks! The only thing I don't like is the Twist-tie holding your battery pin thingy in... :p

What did you use to wrap your Hose? I like that a lot, and want to do it on my markers...

The Black and Blue is a great color combo, and the black warp tube just puts the icing on the cake IMO.

Can't wait to see that in person.

Why isn't the sight rail on yet???

Added: And boy, when DYE finally puts out Blue sticky grips... :)

synreal
04-15-2002, 07:02 AM
fred-
thanks, i have a pair of blue grips coming from heather (the grip lady ;) ) later this week. i don't really like how mags look with the sight rail, so it is just kinda chilling for the time being.

the twist tie is only there until i find a blue fill nipple cover leash. the sheath around my hose is just some cable wrap from radio shack ($2.99 for 3 meters of it i think), look forward to playing with you next weekend.
