That's a VM-68 Magnum. All the oldies reffered to it as the VM-Mag.

Me and my friends get a kick when we take a VM to the field... a bunch of kids are usually like, "Woah, what is that?" It's so old it's new again :) We started telling them we made it in the basement.

i get that all the time..... its funny cause you let them hold it and they almost fall down. then you let them shoot it and there death and hand hurts from the recoil....LOL

lol in my case back in the day means last september.:D the gun weighs like 8 pounds w/o hopper and tank. its HORRIBLY loud, and being its all metal except for the grip frame it has massive recoil and gas consumtion..

YOu think a mag or a cocker has a noticable sounds ... the PMI-III's made this loud horrible ding ding sound in the back bottle tank when fired *L* ... and a very noticable sound when they fired just air and not paint ... used to be an old tactic of turning the marker up-side down and firing air ... people would think you were out of paint and try to charge you ... work great with pumps back in the day ...

Yeah but they were the thing to have back then ... I remember back in 93 the pecking order of semi's was;

1) Automag.
2) Cocker, I had a mini with the original green barrel.
3) F2 illustrator
4) PMI-III (VM-68)
5) Stingray ...

At least around my area that's how it was ...

Speaking of loud, the home team at the field I usually play at use Vectors. It sounds like someone running amok on the field with a 20-gague!

A vector is pretty much a non electro rainmaker
they were very good for fit and finish

and I love my pmi3 and my vm68s (my pmi still has the original seal kit in it and doesn't skip a beat)

no offense but VECTORS are but ugly, worse than the VM's....
:D but i bet they are a colectors item now... from what i read these things were kinda like cockers. when worked they were awsome. but broke easily. am i understanding right??

But it looks like a mini shotgun from HK..

which is a noise you would here every 5 minutes as those guns yielded all of 400 shots from a CO2 tank.

i dont know whats funnier the ebay post or the posts on ao. i remember them old timers. theyer butt ugly, have worse air consumption than a mag on a bad day, and are louder than a 20 guage shot gun. i feal sorry for the guy who buys it thinking hes getting a mag. thanks for the post.:D :D :D

they are a great gun thow. i wish i had one but it aint worth my mony now. i want another rt:D

Hey, the VM's a classic! When I bought my Mag, I was asked if I was going to get rid of the old Boat Anchor...

I don't think so! It's so fun to pull it out on a rec day (or a tournament gone bad... :p) and see everyone wonder what the heck you've pulled out.

Our team used to put industrial spools on our barrels when we played the Lounge Lizards. It had the effect of making them twice as loud. Made the VM's look like space guns out of Loony Tunes. :D

I'll have to throw up some images one of these days...

i talked to the guy running this auction. i asked him if it was like a special version of the 68 automag classic made by agd just to see if he would lie. he said no. he siad that its called a vm 68 automag. then he said"but it shoots alot better than a mag" i laughed at him so hard.and said "no where close." i said ill take a stock mag and it will out shoot that piece of crap (no offense to the vm owners here)
