View Full Version : Powerfeed tube question...

I have a hopper left p/f mini.

With a VLbow to hold my hopper on my powerfeed tube, I notice a gap of about 1-2 cm between the LBow and the body.

Would cutting that extra space off of the tube affect the way the 'Mag feeds in any way? Has anyone ever done this? Just trying to come up with ANY way to shorten the width and height of my setup... short of getting a vert body and milling the crap out of my freak :), or putting the Cuisinart...er, I mean Warp Feed... on my gun. (I'm mostly just kidding around with the Cuisinart thing. I have nothing against the Warp other than the price. A friend of mine made that comment a while back and it's kind of stuck with me since... besides, it cracks me up) :) Thanks for any replies!

i know some people on the forum have done it. i cant see why it would cause a prob. just make sure its streight and not to short cuz that would really suck.

Well don't cut it too much. I have it done to mine and I find no decrease in performance at all. It lowers the hopper and puts the hopper more in the center.

I have thought about doing this with mine as well. I have a standard feed and just got a revy. I have read that the feed tube is a certain length to reduce blow back and prevent misfeeds and chop. If you shorten the tube then you will compromise the markers ability to feed balls efficiently. So that is why you shouldn't cut it down. Having said that, my thinking is that if you get "smart hopper" like a revy which fucntion is to ensure that there is a constant feed of balls to your gun then it shouldn't matter the length of the feed tube right????I would love to find out for sure since the feed tube on the standard feed is a bout two stories tall. Everyone who I have heard from who has cut down their feed tube has said that they have had no negative performance from their gun because of it. Just don't cut it too short or else -

with standered feed i wouldnt. it will have less weight in balls in the feed neck if you do and therefore the blow back will affect you more.

with the power feed it shouldnt matter. the power feed is set up to reduce your blowback. the angle makes it only blow a ball back like 1 or 2 mm.

a revy can only unstop jams. it cant keep the air, from blowback, from pushing the balls up in a standered feed. sorry.
