I am ignoring...This is how I do it.

this is the image he wants to use. Its geocities so I think he is screwed right?

if you're trying to post a picture just upload it to another thread then link it to that..just check the properties for the picture and copy paste that url..thats what I had to do cause geocities SUCKS!!

It actually is possible to link externally from geocities.

First, get your picture, and rename it from .jpg/.gif/.png to .txt

Upload it to your geocities space

when posting, use the img tags and simply link to the .txt file in your webspace!

If you don't beleive me simply right click > properties on the image and check the address!
