It's hand crafted from pure silver by Maghog. TLC-Triggernomics Lucious Collection. Triggernomics was Maghog's biz until he decided to close up shop and move to Germany. It's a one of a kind. TK has it in his personal collection.

Well for the record that wasn't my mag. It was the Field owners, another of our team mates. It's a HL Smart mag with a Armason Stealth barrel and a Custom drop. The non-standard additions are the PMI 40 rnd hopper, Smart Parts 114 nitro tank with a Cobra Coil remote line and an old painted Vents Rage mask without a lens.

Strider I had forgetten that you had this picture. You will pay for this the next time I see you on the field. I just might have to use a Lizard Blaster, You have a pic of one of them?

Check this out...

"Ok guys... Here is the latest thing I have been working on ... You ready ???
I have made a Autococker body out of G10 carbon fiber. That means the body is not metal. The gun weighs 3 lbs & 4 ounces. I copied my AKALMP Merlin cocker body and used the Merlin valve and front block. I made a delrin back block so it very quite. I used a shocktech bolt. Her are some pic of it. I will be showing it off at the Monster Game July 21 & 22. Tell me what you think ...."

That TLC retro minimag is simply beautiful. Up until now, my opinion has been that black-out was the best look for a mini. I have been proven incorrect.

DC, Not the most attractive, but who cares. It's made out of Carbon Fiber, and that makes it freaking awsome. Would look even cooler if it was the black and grey CF, with a nice polish on it.

DC, nice job working with the carbon fiber but I'm jumping on the band wagon about the color. Any chance of altering the color?

First, just wanting to make sure you know it isnt mine...

Im going to see about getting one when ken gets the bugs worked out, but i just cut/pasted a direct quote from him, and added the pics.
I thought you guys might find it interesting.

Its a second generation carbon fiber prototype body.
He had a first generation one that was even less of a looker, to see if it would even work, fixed some problems from the first one, and made this one with some curves to it.
I think mainly just for the asthetic aspect.

I put a pic of the first one on this post below.

I think the idea is, when he is done, to be able to have a super light body, AND be able to color it any color that carbon fiber can come in.
I personally think it would be cool if he could work out a way to make it clear (or as close to clear as it can get), and see all the internals working.

DC, Looking at that pic it's hard to belive that is carbon fiber. Looks more like just resin, or epoxy. I always thought that carbon fiber was black, or gray, though I have seen some red, and purple. Looking at the pic it appears that there are no carbon fiber strands in it. My next though is that it might be Kevlar, but even that is made up of strands. Also, where is he getting the blocks from? I'm not that in touch with Carbon fiber, but I know that it comes in sheets, and in order to make a block you would have to press 1000's of sheets together under a high pressure. Sorry, just looking at the uses for that stuff outside of paintball if that truely is CF, or Kevlar.

I have a good deal of experience with carbon fiber parts, designing and making them. (my application was for automobile racing though)

Well if that is indeed carbon fiber, it's actually more of an epoxy block, rather than traditional carbon fiber. To make a block like that out of pure carbon fiber strands and even with reasonable epoxy spacing, would be downright ludicrously expensive. The strands you see in "traditional carbon fiber" are just that, carbon fibers. As you can see, there aren't any in the body, visible, at least. Perhaps what he did was get a block of epoxy with a couple layers of carbon fiber in it, and had the outside have a major epoxy layer so that it could be milled. (you couldn't make that kind of shape out of carbon fiber, at least not as sharp and defined as that is) besides, the work involved would be more $$$. Let us know the low down on that cocker body.

I give the awkward award to the phantom with 40oz CO2 tank.

I give the (somewhat) innovative award to the bullpup design, for trying something different.. though it looks like a bushy or something in the box.. not too creative there. And the table leg as a foregrip..eh..?

First, i want to say... cool setup emster!

Well, from what i understand, its a "G10" carbon fiber compound.
I think its just a fine cut carbon fiber/epoxy compound.
Im really just guessing at this part. Ill email him tomorrow to see what he has to say.

I know it is carbon fiber because my father mentioned that he uses the same "G10" stuff on parts for his race car.
He has a formula car in his garage...

As far as the color...
Im actually at his place right now, sitting next to a carbon fiber nose tip in the back room.
The outside is red, but the inside is just strand sheets that are the exact color of that cocker body.

Zads, what racing are you in to?
I mainly do scca and irdc with (take a deep breath) formula fords, formula mazdas, Vs, 500s, GT1, GT2, and American Sedan.

Knew some people would find it as interesting as i did. :)

Is that body made out of plastic???

Is it made to be a "show" piece? or is it actually used?

G-10 is not carbon fiber. Its fiberglass. I have used it extensively in ametuer rocketry. If it were carbon, it would be grey/black in color...

I feel bad about posting this pic, since it nowhere even comes close to doing the marker any sort of justice.

For those that want to know what it is, it was my Classic Over/Under Nasty Typhoon(COUNT for short)

Also it is this marker that I traded for my first Micro E-mag.

I held the first G-10 Cocker at Hell Survivors last summer... without a tank and hopper, it was lighter than my Phantom VSC. No bull-puckey! It looks a lot better under direct sunlight, it's really a transluscent golden.

I was in Ken's shop when he started on the second one, the block of G-10 was on the mill, waiting to be bored. It smells bad when you machine it... The second one had a more greenish tint to it.

Imagine your big heavy cocker, but without the heavy part. They're SOOO light it totally changes the dynamics of maneuvering with one.
Ken rules!

That Space-Mag is awesome, who built those???

Wyn- while I used to have a Bob Long product, and their service has been great in my experience, why the heck are you getting the second one instead of the Dragon??? (a better ? is why aren't you getting an Emag...)

:D

fred- a few simple answers. costs less same performance, it'll be out way sooner than the dragons, and I love my timies. Nothing against the mag, I shot one for years, but the intimidator owns.

OK, I did a little research into this G-10 stuff, and as I suspected it is not Carbon Fiber, but rather a form of Fiber Glass. Carbon Fiber, as well as Kevlar (Amrid) are just that Fibers. They are woven into mats, and are both extremely strong, though most of their structural strength comes from the epoxies / resins used to fix them into thier final shape. As well as the process used to do this. Carbon fiber is always black, to grey in color, as it is CARBON strands, Kevlar, a Dupont product is actually plastic, and has a yellow to white color, though I have seen it dyed in other colors. Both of these can be interwoven in the mat to create products with differnt properties.

Because you dad said that he uses G-10 on his car doesn't mean it's carbon fiber. On race cars, they usually use fiberglass, not carbon fiber.

Indeed, G10 is fiberglass. I think I remember looking over a parts list, when making a race car that had some random pieces made of G10.

Yes and no;
The rigidness comes from the epoxy. Strength comes from the fiber strands.
Only for some applications does kevlar get epoxied.

Carbon fiber is not always black, it is actually more of a deep gray color for most applications, but we even make different colors of carbon fiber now. (only cosmetic, doesn't do anything)
Doesn't add to the strength, and personally I like the gray color most (I'm less flash, more gas).
