In the meantime, you should cut down your standard feed.

As soon as you slap a black power feed body on there it'll look great.

why would you cut down your standard feed? it's that specific length for a reason and should not be messed with. I would recommend getting a powerfeed and leave the standard feed lenght the way it is.

You do not want to cut down the feed tube on a standard feed mag. You can create a lot of blow back if you do.

I used to have Classic feed cut down. I did some "scientific" tests to prove that cutting them down causes NO blowback.

explain to me why it is then that the standard feed tube is the length that it is? explain to me for what reason the engineers and designers at AGD have chosen that particular length over any other? do you think they simply welded a tube that was roughly the diameter of the ball onto the body and called it a feed tube or would you consider the possibility that maybe they ran some tests and maybe, for some reason god forbid, seeing as it is the job of many, those engineers and designers have devised the perfect lenght feed tube?

Well, it may be for safety. You would need long fingers to stick them into the breech. I don't think it would cause more blowback, but if it work for you, dont go screw it up.

If it aint broke.....

they are that long because back in the day before revy's & such, they used a regular hopper. therfore they made a longer feedtube so you wouldnt have to shake your gun to get balls in the chamber. if you did, your long string of shots would not be accurate, or you would chop. now that we have revy's we dont need that long feed tube.

Tom once told us it was to keep you from being able to stick your finger down there and having the bolt chop it off....

I had a cut down one once and with the long nosed bolt it was fine. But I think he should just stick to his plan of getting power feed.
