Boomstick is supposed to fit the marbs real good. I dont know. Not saying its bad/good cause i havent shot one. Not all stainless though. J&J 2 piece are very nice barrels, but not all stainless, once again(most barrels are not stainless). They work awesome with any paint, including marbs. Lapco is all stainless and is a .689 bore which is a little bigger than the marbs which are like .686 or .687, something like that. All I can say is that the lapco is a really really nice barrel, consistent, efficient with gas, and definetly accurate. Not quiet, but I know this is def one of the top all stainless barrels out there. You decide.

S.S. barrels now aday are mainly a myth. With improved microhoning aluminum is just as good as S.S. plus it's cheaper and lighter.

Get a freak kit if you have the money to throw around.
Paintballs of the same brand and color will vary from batch to batch. If you don't have the money, get 2 CP barrels in diffrent ID's. Everyone needs atleast a big and small bore barrel.

depends on what kind of marb. if it's all-star, slam, or el tigre, then it fits boomy's real good, if its just that swirl pattern, it still is good, but i prefer the all-strar, also, a J&J fits the marbs. pretty good, I had a long lists of all the bore sizes of every brand of paint, and every brand of barrel, I'll try to find it for you.

that list hasn't changed since I started playing paintball 3 years ago.

Your better off just going to the feild and asking somone with a barrel kit what ID barrel they are shooting.

ya, the list hasn't changed because the companies that make barrels and paint stay with the same method of making them, so they stay witht the same bore size too, thats why PMI has so many different kinds of paint people who like PMI can buy different versions of PMI (marb, premium, kick'n, etc.)it would suck if all paint companies said "The bore size we'll be making today will be .692 instead of yesterday's .681, people would never know what paint was good to shoot out of their barrels, see what I mean? (I dont think Smart Parts would mind, everyone would own a FREAK barrel then)

What do you mean, PMI has drastically changed there formula a few times in the past year, the sizes haven't changed alot but then you add in factors like tempature, color of shell, color of fill, and all that effects the size. All im posinting out is why would you buy a $100 barrel when you can buy 8 diffrent ID bore size barrels for another $90 (freak) or you can buy 2 CP large and small bore or lapco barrels for the same price.

I'd rather see him buy 2 barrels for the price of one, or a freak kit. CP's and Lapco's perform every bit as good as a overpriced DYE barrel.

It's just like a cocker. People see pros or ams playing with DYE barrels and they think, "hey he is using it so it must be good, cuase hes a PRO". Well no. Its all paint-bore match, and technically the FREAK is the best. Too expensive for anyone not playing tourneys, or playing every single week. I like the lapco like I said, it looks really nice, $10 less than the dye, and has minimal porting for efficiency. It also has laser engraved gun names too....just like DYE....

When you buy a barrel think about all of the math, do not listen to other people's opinions.

i have a smart parts all american stainless. the back part is stainless and the front part is aluminum. i only use marballaizer or el tigre and the barrel is perfect for them. if you don't have the money for a freak, get an all american stainlass.

i already have a smartparts stainless all american and i like it but, i really want a one piece to get more efficentcy and also a 12" so its a little shorter. i want a stainless because my mag body is polished and i have a chrome intelliframe so i wanted it to match nicely, i think a black barrel would just look funny. but thanks all for your help. oh and ive seen those charts but like you said they havent changed in years so i wanted some player opinion to be safe

I used marbalizer with my all american barrel and i never broke a ball. I must have shot over 10,000 ball through it and the only times i have ever broken a ball was when i had an empty hoper and i was firing my e-mag in burst mode for the fun of it and the ball were boucing back up the feed tube.
