Macro is giving a tiny leak

Guys, I just gased up my gun, everytime I gas it up, it leaks just a little, after I fire a few fires it goes away. Anyone know what the heck is wroingm with it?

Leaking is what macro line does best. Just joking but it does happen a lot.

If it is leaking where it attaches to the fittings, pull it off and re attach it. If the tube itself is leaking, replace it macroline is pretty cheap.

Its leaking from the Attachment where you put the hose in. Its leaking from the side allitle but when I fire it a few times it stops.

take it out, and if tehre is a bit of room, try and get some teflon in there then put it back in, or jsut puyt some teflon around teh fitting when your done

While it is gassed up just pull on it. The little round fitting pushes itself out with the pressure of the compressed air forming a seal. Usually if the fitting is leaking you can just pull on it or wiggle it a little and it will seal. If pulling on it doesnt work do as previously suggested and re-insert the macroline in the fitting. In order to get the macroline out of the fitting without messing it up first hold down the ring that moves in and out and then pull out the plastic tube.

I wouldn't suggest using teflon tape on macro line. Best case, it comes off inside, and clogs up your valve. Worst case, it creates a safety hazard and the macro line comes out of the fitting under pressure. Teflon tape goes on threads.

When macro is leaking, try to re-seat it as described previously. If that doesn't work, cut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the end that's in there and start over. If you want something that is hassle free, go with Stainless Steel.

i had that very same problem today w/ my macro line, man i hate that stuff, i tried to play with it like that but i got mad shootdown after 2 or 3 bps

Make sure the end is cut 90* and that it's a smooth cut. Any angle or rough edges can cause a leak.

also if its a really small leak, degas ur gun and put a drop of oil in the asa and that will usually help seal it better if u havent already oiled ur mag

are you using screw in nitro? It is best to hold down the trigger and screw in the tank keeping the trigger back. Then release the trigger. If it is still leaking you can just pull straight back on the hose....not at an angle but straight back. This will form a seal on the macroline.

If you guys are using hard or semi-rigid cheapo macro, that is your problem. The hard stuff is designed to be used with compression fittings, not push in fittings. The Parker line is soft and flexible, and fittings get a much better bite into it. I haven't had a leak EVER. Hope this helps...:D

ya get some of that parker paraflex from tunaman its the best kind of macroline i got soem from him and it hasnt leaked on me yet... its alot more flexible than normal macro and just as strong...

Yeah exactly, any leak is usually because of uneven cut macro. But if you have the Action Village TKO, a good upgrade to get is a good steel two piece air setup w/ quick disconnect.
