Im going to be getting an RT really soon and i heard that the best input pressure is somewhere around 650. Does this mean i have to buy a regulator for my tank since it is preset to 800psi? its a pure energy 48 3000

The higher input pressure just means a more reactive trigger... I have a pure energy on my RT Pro, and it works great for me. If you want to change the feel of your trigger, then you'd need a reg, but otherwise, the tank will work as is.

While this is true, you would not want to add a third reg to a RT setup with a preset tank. The RT shoots at too high or a pressure to add another reg into the setup up. Regs need atleast 200 psi difference in order to work properly. Other wise they will just slow down flow.
