I am predicting that the ticket will be for a violation while the car is moving, probably having to do with excessive display of power, speeding, or wreckless mayhem. Possible all three at the same time!:eek:

yes, mid to high 13s; still pretty fast!
I dunno about the wieght though. I thought the SVT "conversion" entailed extensive "lightening" work, hence the name :p . Is that the super charged variant?? My pop has eaten quite a few of the S/Cs in his vette, and I have gotten SPANKED by quite a few S/Cs and N/As.....time to get an LS1....

A guy at my school has a 2000 lightning. Both him and his dad are nuts! He just put a bigger supercharger in it, It dynoed at 416.3 HP at the wheels! Dont tell my mom, but we go racing sometimes and whoop up on most everyone. :)

You dont need a SC to beat a lightning, but it would help alot. Intake/exhuast and 100 shot of N2O will put the smack down...

The Syclone is still the fastest production truck ever made. The lightning is fords fastest. All new style lightnings are super charged. The older (boxy)style ones are not. I just cant wait for the Dodge SRT-10. Ram 1500, viper V-10 putting out 500hp and 500lb-ft. of torque. That baby will be seriously fast...assuming the mopar guys can figure out how to get it to hook up.

Ya know I was wondering just how long it would take for someone to come up with a saying like this. We are talking STOCK for STOCK here. you do that to a lighting and you'll be in the dust again. If you want to talk about shuting down other cars, keep in on the same level. ANYONE can dup 10000 into a motor and smoke this that and the other. You also have to consider the fact that an LS1 Z28 is $25k stock vs the $35k stock Lightning...Put $10k Into that Z28 and you got a 10 secound car, easy. :) But those Lightning are still dope! Im just a F-body freak and would prefer them over the lightning.

But stock for Stock...the Lightning wins.

My intention was never to start the "who's got the fastest car" discussion, but I kinda figured it'd get to that point anyways. Supposedly with a few minor upgrades you can get them down into the 12's. Though with 100 miles on it I'm hardly thinking of upgrades yet. And my bank account is like, empty after the down payment :)

Just the fact that my 4700lb truck can give an unmodded vette a good run is plenty of braggin rights for me. Even if I don't beat them :)

Umm, I can't go into full detail, but it was very near 29k for me. It's a 2001, but it was a brand new leftover that didnt sell yet. I've since been putting on more miles... now I have 150!
