It sounds interesting. Not really going, at least I don't plan on it, but maybe it will inspire other tourneys.

7 man seems easier to pull of than 10 man though.

I like 7-man, it sounds better. I am not sure why, but go for it!

I think you'd probably get more teams that way, but I've never been fond of the trend toward smaller teams. As a financial item, yes, seven-man format is better. As part of the sport I want 10 man to stay on top.

Sound just as good for play to have 7 as opposed to 10. A heck of a lot easier to get 7 guys together on any particular day. I like it.

I don't like the idea of smaller teams. 10 is small enough as it is.

I like the idea. It seems that it would be alot easier to get a seven man team togeather than a ten.

also 7 man wouldnt require as much room as a 10 man, so that might be an advantage

7 man tourney sounds great! :D

it would be kinda odd, since 10 man seems to be the norm in the USA where 7man is the way to go in europe. I have played 7man events before and they are very nice mix between players and $$

i vote yes on the 7 man cause its hard to find 10 people to play with consistently.

I would like 10 man better. 7 man just doesn't seem that much different then 5 man.

3 man - 1 person = 33%
5 man - 1 person = 20%
7 man - 1 person = 14.3%
10 man - 1 person = 10%

I think 9 man could be sweet. :D

7 man is the way to go. I would like to see many more tournaments go to a 7 man format. I am getting my guys together right now for the Centerflag 7 man here in Illinois.

Well we play alot of 5 and 7 person tourny over here in oz,
we usto play 10 person for the so called "pro" tournys but found the comps were decreacing in size so then some one started doing 7 person comps... since then the comps have realy taken off now that we have a "pro,am"circut with a national body (A.P.P.L)controlling some of the big name tourneys in short 7 person (man is so much easyer to type)
has realy improved the tourney seen over here and im shure it will over there too...

I never seen a 10 man event before. I only saw some 7 man tourneys. I think, 7 man is verry nice, but 10 man is the major league ... so keep the 10 man for the pro´s.

Seven man is a VERY different game to 10 man. Judging from the posts not a lot of people have played both.

7 man is more prevalent in Europe because there aren't so many players and it was easier to make 7 man teams than 10 man teams. This meant 10 man died off.

We used to play 10 man here and I've played both. There are some questions at the moment wether to try and bring the USA to 7 man or Europe up to 10 man. While I like both formats, I believe the pinnacle is 10 man. As there are more players in the sport people are thinking about introducing 10 man back over here, and there was an event a month or so ago to see how it holds up.

7 man is much easier to get teams for but 10 man is the greater game in my opinion.

10 man is also much more expensive to play due to more players (almost another 7 man team on the field!) and due to the longer time limits.

When you are on a 10 man team, usually, you have another couple of guys that are alternates. We know not EVERYONE can make practice/tournaments 100% of the time, you need to have a couple more guys on your roster to fill in. This is how serious paintball teams get results. 10 man shouldn't be THAT much harder to run/play than a 7. In my mind, all things to do with paintball are fun but, I personally like the 10-man format.

No, not instead of 10 man.

BUT, 7 man could be added. 7 man tourneys are fine, but i dont think it should replace 10 man
