I bought my mag used and am looking to replace the barrel (which, like the rest of the setup, was not taken care of as well as one would have hoped :( ). At any rate, I have two questions about barrel selection:
1) Given that mag barrels include the breech, is there any adjustment in measurement I need to make? In other words does a mag barrel that's advertised as "12 inches" actually measure 12", or something like 13"?
2) AGD has pointed out that the optimum barrel length efficiency-wise is 8-10 inches (unported). What barrels out there have unported segments this long? Everything seems ported up the wazoo, and I'd like not to have to buy an 18 inch barrel :eek: in order to get eight useful inches.
