I was thinking about how the powerfeed always makes it more difficult to aim the marker because they place it at an angle so it blocks the top of the marker, but without it you will have blowback gasses,so i got an idea.
How about somebody makeing a gun with a tube coming out of the side of the gun where the normal feed would be, but at about a 100 degree angle or slightly less so the balls will roll into the gun, much like a standard feed at a lesser angle. BUT then they cut a hole into the side of it to eliminate blowback gasses while keeping the top of the gun open for aiming and getting a better shot.

do they have this?if not why doesnt agd put this on a new marker?

Bad idea it won't work much better maybe worse than the standard feed and it makes your hopper stick out really far

its kind of horizontal at the last second when it feeds to the gun, so that would slow down feeding time

i will stick with my normal powerfeed

Now that's what I call an oversized image...

Please, I beg you, Use this insead!

That flat portion would slow the feding down even more than the standard feed. I think your design, while an interesting thought, would create a huge number of chops. You could use a Warp to force the balls through that feed but then why not just use one of the feeds around now.

Thats a good idea and all, but its god a bad downside. You've got a massive tube sticking off the side of the gun, making you a bigger target. The thing already sticks out enough. If the whole size of it could be made smaller, itd be sweet. Just go with a Warp feed :D!

Well something similar anyway. The theory is by taking a standard feed and drilling vents into the feed neck you are eliminating blowback and getting rid of another angle that the ball has to follow to get into the chamber.
An example

bad idea and ugly too.

I had a straight feed body when I first got my Mag. If I remember correctly, it had a hole in the tube already. This didn't stop the chopping. I guess it might have been even worse without the hole but I didn't cover the hole to check.

Yeah I'm not endorsing the idea or anything, I own a powerfeed myself. Even if the the idea is solid or not, I still think its good to talk through it and give good reasons why it would/wouldn't work. :)

It doesn't really seem like it would work... The balls would still have a good chance to bobble and go up the feed tube...

it looks like it wouldnt have enough angle for the balls to role in, also, could you imagine how many hopper shots you would get w/ that thing??

well duh it wouldnt stick out so far and it would be at more of an angle its just that im a bad artist

Sorry bud, I don't think we're arguing over your artistic abilities, but rather your idea itself. It WOULD stick it out too far unless you put it so close where the only thing it would do would be to slow down the feed rate and cause a whole lot of chops. Not too many people would sacrafice ROF, reliability, weight proportions, the cost of upgrading their guns so that it would be like this, and their gun's current looks just so they can sight down the barrel and lose their elbow... I mean, ask yourself - would you trade in your car for a par of freaky rollerskates?
