Uggh...i'm soo mad right now. I just got my license about a month ago and here in Maine they have the 90 day law where you cant carry passengers. Well today i gave my friend a ride to the ymca so we could lift together and play some basketball and my parents drove by me when i was driving the other way! this sucks, my parents took my license away for 2 WEEKS!!! and its vacation!!

at least it was your parents and not getting pulled over by police.

and if youre going to break laws be prepared for consequences.

in lovely CA we cant drive people under 20 for 6 months, 90 days isnt that bad. My first night i was driving people(no one follows that stupid law, its a 35 dollar fine).

Lesson learned I hope. Over 75% of accidents with teenage drivers involve more than one teen in the car. Thats why the law was written. And you could have lost your license until you were 18 had the Police caught you. Sorry but I agree your parents,. They are correct and more than fair. Two weeks is nothing compaired to two years without a license. Consider yourself lucky. Tell your folks you love them for being concerned enough about you to make an issue of it. And Thanks them for being concerned about everyone else one the road...like me! :D

you can do just about whatever you want when you get your DL in illinois

i know that it never effected me, but then again i was a responsible teenager (im only 20 now:))
but i know that in kansas where i went to school for 2 years, you get your "temp" liscence at age 15 and can drive anywhere but you cant have friends in the car, well my cousin did and she still doesnt have her DL and shes 17 now

Here in Georgia its based on points that accumulate from tickets and such. If you get so many points you can lose your license for a year. They added a lot of new laws as there was a lot of teen deaths in traffic accidents this past year.

Yeah, like do 90 through Wisconsin!:D Actually, I like Illinois drivers on the freeway around here. They tend to keep the cops too busy to bug the locals!

i swear they let all the crazies out of the looney bin and give em a DL and say "Here, have fun"

Lost yours, mine expired a month ago. Suppose I should get it renewed before the next time I get pulled over. The weather is getting nicer and they always set up traps when it's nice out:(

Hey look, at least you can drive...my insurance in Brooklyn would be $8000 a year on the 2001 Dodge Stratus I was looking at! I'll take your silly laws if I could have cheaper insurance rates.

Here in TN its only one person under 21 in the car with you for 1 year, unless someone over 21 is in the car with you. Although my Mom sometimes make me drive my lil bro and his friends to the movies...lol. We also can't drive after 11 P.M. and before like 5 A.M. unless for like work or something and you have to have a permission slip.

ENDO!

That happened to me, except we can only have one other person in the car for 9 months. Second day I had my license I stopped by my bank on my way up north with 5 friends in my car :) My mom stopped at the same time :) My friends tried to duck but in a compact car like mine they were already squished. My mom laughed and said she wouldn't tell my dad if she didn't catch me again.
