Wouldn't it be cool if they had a contest to find out who has the fastest trigger finger in the sport. You could have different events, mechanical and electro, modified and stock setups, etc. It could coincide with the fasted and most accurate gun contest. (accuracy, in respect to fastest recharging valve) :D Might just lay some myths to rest.

how much for the london bridge????

lol and i was being sarcastic when i asked the question bout the proven thing

ill let the secret out
butch from ADG pride
can consistantly shoot his emag
at 13bps. tested and verified by mr kaye himself

and hes left handed

Cliffio
04-16-2002, 04:41 PM
what does left handedness have to do with anything?

is there a difference between butch and lasoya's 13bps?

Cliffio
04-16-2002, 04:42 PM
also,im sure there are people that can get over 13, there has to be, i can shoot 12, well 12 from the lcd's point of view, i dunno about chrony 12bps

so its prolly around 10 or 11

Nah... I think the emagnum board is faster... Set it to FA and rubber band the trigger down... DAMN! hey cliffo
handedness has nothing to do with how fast someone can shoot but being left handed and being a back player that can shoot that fast does put butch in a unique position that most teams dont have. there are many teams who are looking for good left handed players because there are so few. if he can play a bunker that is more favorable to someone who can shoot with his left then he has an advantage over somone who is playing the same bunker "off-handed". besides i seperated that fact from how fast he can shoot. and there is no difference between butchs and lasoyas 13 bps

oh and the angel takes the time between two shots and says that is what someone is consistantly shooting, 13 bps is the fastest i have heard of. many people who think they are shooting fast are only around 10-11 bps

i wish we had a crono to check speed at WAP there is a guy there with a dark angel who is insanly fast, he walks the trigger and let me tell you being on the other end of the strings he lets off makes you think you have 3-4 people shooting at you, the worst part of it is he can keep it up for a while

Hey Arther...the guy shooting at you was fanning the trigger, just sticking his finger in and wiggling it. That was about 12-14 bps. Because of his unique technique, he hit your bunker, the bunker behind you, the dirt, my clipboard, RUE's head, and my nuts. As you might imagine, I was rather unimpressed. Hurt and bitter, but unimpressed.

Let me tell ya, Butch is fast. Until you've been in front of him and heard him get on the trigger, you haven't heard anything. When we were down by Tom and Butch was tested, he was of course off the field and out of a game. We all know what the arenalin during the game will do for your rate of fire. Now imagine that!!

Hmmm. This kind of reminds me of guitarists in the 80's. "I can play 16 notes per second!" "Oh yeah, i can play 18!" Of course, firing fast is a lot more useful than shredding, in most applications.
Anyhow, I am going to try and check on the physiology, just to see how fast a finger could, in theory at least, pull a trigger. It should not be impossible to break 13 with an electronic trigger and a bit of training. Of course, sustaining an extreme ROF would be problematic.

Interesting... Has there ever been a contest at a show or tourney before? If not, it would be interesting to see who could claim the "Fastest Trigger Finger." There could be prizes like warps, halos, hyperframes, intelliframes, etc. with something like ARMY's slogan of "Accuracy by Volume!"

Most of the guys out there with high rates of fire are nothing more then trigger fanning, something that looks really stupid and is hard to maintain for long strings, and worst of all, it affects your accuracy badly.

The method I prefer to use is guitar tremolo. Tremolo allows you to hold onto the grip with your firing hand securely and fire very fast with your index and middle finger. With practice, tremolo will get you easily to 16bps. I constantly outrun my 18v revvy on long strings, it just can't keep up with my E-Mag/Warp over 10bps on long strings. Enter the HALO... loud, heavy... fast feeding sweetness... hello supressive fire :)

In a nutshell, tremolo is alternating your index and middle fingers to pluck a string in rapid succession (32nd and 64th notes for you musically inclined folks, for the uninitiated, that's really really fast). It can be used on a double trigger EMag easily, just apply the same alternating theory. Move your fingers independantly of each other, each finger fires by itself, first the index finger, then the middle finger, alternating back and forth.

You can even develope this skill without being a guitar player, stop by your local music shop and pick up a finger exerciser and work on alternating your index and middle finger against the spring tension. In a month you'll easily double your rate of fire.

I'll let you know butch doesn't fan the trigger. He is the fastest person I've ever seen out on the field. And let me tell you when he revs up out on the field it's a pretty cool sound.

The operative word was "most", not implying all of them did, just a large percentage.

I've watched Lasoya play in the UK, the guy is awesome at busting games wide open and bunkering at the perfect time, but he's got this goofy firing method with his wrist all tweaked up fanning the trigger, it's funny looking. Look through APG and people posing for the camera and you'll see the same thing the majority of the time.

Maybe that's how Lasoya is able to bunker his victims so easily... they see his goofy shooting style and fall over laughing, making themselves easy prey... :)

Not necessarily. It is possible to shoot twice as fast as you would normally shoot with one finger if you double tap(alternate fingers when firing). I can shoot a steady 12 bps when I double tap. It sounds like full auto.

Fow the back player from avalanche he is crazy watch the avalanche 101 video when he pulls up after reloading shooting left handed (he's right normally) it has to be close to 11-12.

My friend dan who owns the first Dark IR3 the one that you see on the warped sportz site played his first tournament with it and shot 15 bps in one game along with 11 pods in 5 min, thats going by the angel board though. Lots of people have fast trigger fingers they just arent pro's

I have a recording of me shooting 13 bps consistently(Ive taken 1 second parts of it, slowed it down and counted and they come to 13) but I'm sure I can shoot faster than that :), I'm gonna record some more later and beat that and then post! I will hold the BPS championship belt! Oh, and I walk the trigger though, and play bass and I walk the strings on that so that builds up them there finger muscles anyways :D. But I bet ya I can beat the 13 bps thing, I'll pick up some air Saturday and record some :D:D!

ENDO!

Downwithangels...Since I was reffing that day, and watching the guy do that technique, (along with others doing the same thing) I think I am right. He was fanning.
