View Full Version : What makes the trigger pull the way it is----the Trigger or the Frame...?

I was wondering what makes a trigger pull the way it is? Is it the trigger frame or the actual trigger itself? Or is it a combination of both? 50% trigger, 50% frame?

One of the main reasons I'm asking is because I've seen lots of posts about custom triggers. Are these just for cosmetic and "feel" purposes? Or do they shorten pull, make it less sloppy, and keep it nice and crisp? Thanks...

I would say both because the frame sets up the sear and how far out the trigger rod will be...and the trigger creates a good feel and some triggers on some frames create more side to side play than others, and obviously you want a trigger with as little side to side play as possible (in other words, you want a trigger that fits nice and tight in your frame).
