Macro Line and lube in ASA

What does oiling your mag throught the ASA do to the Macro Line?I have been doing this for some time now without any problems,but this morning I read on another post that you should NOT oil your mag throught the ASA if you have Macro line

It won't hurt it, it's just that if you have macro line you can disconnect it at the valve and drop the oil in right there.
