Counter Strike and Linux

Can CS be installed from the disk onto linux? I put the cd in and it did its autorun and i clicked on the setup.exe file and NOTHING happened. Right now im on the root login and it still isnt working out, any help?

I think i read somewhere that someone got a copy of halflife to work (with openGL) under wine. I forget where though :/
