I would like to purchase a Scuba compressor to provide compressed air for my team and the local paintball shop. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Should I look into a "re-compressor" such as a Nitro Duck system instead? (or other 4500psi system) How well do the ND systems work on scuba tanks, or do they? Any input on the subject would be appreciated.

Try looking in online scba shops. They normally have them. But prepare to pay like 3,000-4,000 for one.

Bauer Compressors just had a product feature in Crossfire

Air America also makes one - their pricing is a little better, but you need 2 sources. A drive source like CO2 or N2 and a boosting source like N2.

The Nitro Duck one will not fill Scuba tanks, and is pricey - like $3000.

Your best bet is to buy a used one at E-bay. Be careful to watch lacation and figure in shiping costs. They will fill a tank but not fast. I would suggest buying a few scubs also so you have the compressor in continuous use and fill from the scubas. The Nitroduck genesis is nice but it runs off of large HPA tanks so is not really what you want. You can buy a used compressor for a lot less than $3000.00
Kind of slow right now wrong season to be looking but here is one.

Before you buy a compressor cal your local industrial gas suppliers, such as BOC Gases. They can supply you with 6000psi tanks of Nitrogen for approx. $50 plus a $100 or so deposit on the tank. If you get 2 or 3 you can cascade the psi to use all of the gas.

IMHO compressors are expensive and have a huge maintainance cost as well.
