What are the advantages and disadvantages of these systems?

its the same thing

the advantage is that its far more consistant and stable at all normal temperatures.

compressed contians lot of nitrogen in it they are almost identicle

OK think of it this way:

Compressed Air..
Air = 76% Nitrogen.. about 30 some % Oxygen.. (its been awhile) .. and a few % other gasses.. taht Basically N2O.

Nitrogen...
Nitrogen in tanks is N2 (diatomic)... so theres not much diffrence at all.

you must remember compressed air sometimes has h20 because idiots don't know how to clean the water filters.

n2 is banned here in Maine, all we got is air and c02. Why would n2 be banned?

Cuz someone there is clueless ??!!

hmmm.... banned you say? maybe someone had a old tank and put nitrogen in it and it exploded and they think the reason was because it is nitrogen.

Dang good air you got in your neck of the woods Veg!...Thats stuff adds up to over 106%! :D

I think you mean roughly 78-9% Nitrogen and 20-21% Oxygen. Sometimes air can be only 19% Oxygen and more of its total can be Carbon dioxide to change those numbers a bit. And of course the few rare gases like Hydrogen, Argon etc. make up almost a percent sometimes. But those are averages of normal air densities at sea level and some of them are ranges of lower and high altitude areas.

But the answer is the properties are pretty much the same for us in paintball using the same tank and same pressures.

The actual breakdown, if I remember correctly is more like 70% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen, the leftover 9% is random molecules that are insignificant...
Or he might be right with 76%, I know that Oxygen is 21%.

CPR class taught me that.

nope it is 78 we just read about it in my science class and 20 oxygen with other small particles carbon dioxide, i think argon, and methane lol not a joke.
