Wow, since Cap was there she'd now. :D At first glance, I thought it had a chrome like mirror finish. But looking at it more closely, it does look clear with just glare reflecting off of it. Take a look at the portion of the mask right below the goggles. You can see through the mask and see the skin on his cheek.

i don't know there is a kdi at my field with a clear proteus and every angle it looks clear i am not saying she is lieing but it doen't look clear.

Its clear. The sun is probably reflecting some light off of it which makes it look chrome.

Im guessing that proteus is one of the metallic type proteus masks. They have a Gold and Blue tint, and that one appears to be the blue one. check this link for reference: http://store6.yimg.com/I/actionvillage_1687_11461340 . Hope this helps you out.
