now that the makes of all-star have all but perfected the dry-shell manufacturing process is dimpling (like a golfball) too far off?

Dimpling on golf balls, is to produce a constant directional airflow over the balls' surface in order to amplify the "Magnus Effect", which will maintain the balls' flight over a longer distance...But only AFTER an intense back-spin has been induced by the club face.

This won't work for paintball, as you do not want any spin, at all, in any direction, induced on the ball.

AGD experimented long and hard with dimples, slots, wings, fins, football shapes, and rifle-like spins. None showed better accuracy over a good paint to barrel fit.

i kinda had the z-body and flatline in mind but i guess special paint for a minor gruop of guns isnt very cost effective;)
