I just bought a automag classic and it came with a 14 inch ceramic barrel from J&J. It had good accuracy in close range(5-15 feet) but when the target was more than 40 feet the paintball would loop and sometimes it would go to left field. It took about 4-7 shots to increase the accuracy. I have been reading about the boom stick (the longest barrel made for this gun) because somewhere I read that the longer the barrel the more accurate. I need suggestions.

Thank you

Now now.. first you should search the forums regarding accuracy. There really is no accuracy in paintball... only consistency. The more consistent the variables.. the more consistent the shot pattern, better accuracy if you will. It sounds to me like you have a bad paint-to-barrel match and thats causing the paint to woofle ball and whirl. Was the barrel clean? Was the paint new? Swollen? OLD? There are several variables involved in what you call accuracy. Check this out..

Boresizing and why it matters (http://www.automags.org/resource/tech/tomstech/02_boresize.shtml)

BTW- WELCOME TO AO!
don't be afraid to ask questions.. just please try to search prior to asking it :p there are several posts regarding the same question or idea :)
