View Full Version : Excessive Wear on Sear

After going through two boxes of seal replacements, a new bolt, and short of throwing the RT (old style)in the trash can, I check the sear for excessive wear. This must of been a defected sear, I never seen something so worn down before.

Interesting. That area is where a solid carbide insert was brazed into. It looks like the piece just broke out of there or the insert was a bad one that didn't get treated right and wore down too quickly. Either way, call AGD and get one of the new style RT sears. They don't have the inserts but still have the bearing.

Wow… Reminds me of an old lawn mower blade. Not good….

Do as black stated... call AGD.. tell them to look at this post. They may be able to help you out. You may have to send that in to them. Who knows..just call em. :)

I already called AGD and told them of the forum. It's still going to cost me $30.00. Oh well, at least I'll have it by Friday.
