mags constantly sputtering?

im buying a mag very soon and i have a concern. one of my friends has a 68 classic. alot of times it just farts for no reason at all. so i thought, oh its probably cuz its an old gun and hasnt been taken care of. but then at another field this guy had an emag, and it did the same thing (just start farting for no reason). is this because of the low pressure or what, is there anyway to stop it?

Depends on where the "farting" is coming from. Also does it happen when you hold the trigger or just when you pull it and let it go? What happens when the trigger is just at rest?

The problem is most likely just a PT spacer. Easy do it ourself fix.
