Alright here's the deal: i need some opinions on what to do with my gun. Either A)leave it the way it is and go for the black and purple color scheme, or B) polish up the minimag body and get a new trigger frame, more or less aiming for the chrome/purple color scheme. Any other ideas are also welcome. Thanks :D

Can I ask you what size Shocktech drop you're using? I know there's a short version too... I need to get a new drop for my mag, since the warp puts my hopper right in my face (Literally) :P

I'm assuming you're using a 68/3000 Tank also.

Go for the purple and chrome, they're both common so it's not something that should be chosen based on originality...but purple and chrome looks nicer to me. :)

it's the large shocktech drop. But i'm not using a 68/3000, rather i've still got my P.O.S. 47/3000, heavy as hell. But i have used a number of different 68s on it and it worked extremely well.

I'd polish the Mini body and get a "chrome" Intelliframe. Then, when you have the cash, you can add a Retro and be all done.

just in let everyone know, there are a few things i'm not going to do. i'm not going to get an intelliframe because i like single triggers better. and i'm not going to get a retro because i don't ever max out my current valve assembly and i don't need the reactive trigger. should i go the chrome way, then i'll get a dye 1x or try to polish up the stock aluminum frame (if it's possible). if i go black, then i'll pretty much leave it the way it is and be done with it, but you can never truly be done with something anyways...:D

i dont' think you guys realize how difficult it was to find all that purple...i've spent hours and hours trying searching for this particular purple and when i finally get it all to match up, you guys come at me with baby blue? BAH! :D Sorry, blue's not an option, it's between purple/chrome and purple/black. anything other than that better be purple and something else, but no matter what the purple ain't goin away. i'm not swappin out my color for anything...:D

bartleby, unfortunately you can't polish alum without getting oxidation. I would either buy the Dye chrome or have it chromed after you get it which is what I had to do, due to lack of production on 2X frames

I say, since you got the clear warp and stuff, that goin for the chrome and purple color scheme would be the best choice. that way, all you gotta do is get a new body(or polish the one you got) and a chrome frame

oh and here's what I think u should do (now knowing u dont want intelliframe) get a dye single trigger frame in black, look around and get some purpl sticky grips, get a purpl drop forward, shocktech or other and get a aluminum black freak back (lighter and black) either keep the black tank cover or get purpl doesn matter. possibly purpl warp shells? and if you dont mind changing from SS to macro get some black macro line (or if u can find it which will be hard Purpl macro) if you are gonna stay SS line get some purpl elbows.

haha! You will never find a purple foregrip like that ever again! If you look close it has VL printed on it. wait you say, a ViewLoader foregrip?!?! Thats right, they made them a looong time ago. Also, that's an official AGD main rail, anno'd purple by AGD. Dont see too many of those either. This gun is a living history lesson, in purple. And to think, all that purple ('cept the barrel) used to be mine...so sad...but its gone to a good home. Take care of it...oh and CHROME AND PURPLE!!!

Get some purple stickies, paintballgear.com has them. You can use them on both color combos.

BTW You want to sell the froegrip? Huh? Huh? AH c`mon sell it to me.

you'd have to get a 45 frame to get the stickies, I'd get the smartparts purple wood grips. As far as style goes, nothing beats wood grips

Well my choice is pretty obvious too...

IMHO, Chrome is way overdone, everybody and their brother gets chrome.

And as a small bonus, black pieces are usually cheaper by a few bucks!

if you get a clear hopper you can dye it with rit dye they come out excellent.

put it this way my cousin got royal blue rit dye and his warp came out royal blue. i will try to get a good pic of it to show yuo how rit dye does not lie. lol < rhyme.

Mine was a pre-BE 18v shredder original, so they are no longer in production.

But I have also seen excellent results with using RIT dye on clear shells like speedballbanks stated. Just start out light and darken it slowly.

Id say stay with the black/purple. If you decide to go with the chrome, id try selling the body, and actually buy a chrome body, looks much nicer in the long run IMO.

Russkix, the hopper in your pic is NOT a Shredder. The Shredder was just an upgrade, an added battery compartment, a new sensor, and a extra battery lead for the 18v conversion. Your battery compartment shows that the hopper in the pic is not a shredder, your batteries are together in the hopper, whereas, the original Shredders were VL2000 the purple is solid not transparent, if you managed to dye a clear one in would be "cloudy" in appearance. Take a look at my sig, that IS a shredder. You are welcome to prove me wrong of course.:) :D
