Very nice, I like the clean lines. Can you give us a little more info on lvl10 yet? Is it the result of the long travel bolt/valve combo you were asking questions about a few months ago(Would you settle for 9-10 bps if you never chopped a ball again?)? C'mon, just a little hint, please.:) :)

I love the c&c ... :) ... looking forward, to have my own one.
I will keep my fingers crossed ...
Another question: will the c&c gripframe and batterypack (the milled one) later be available?

I don't think the Lvl10 has the LONG nose bolt because the halo video is using an E-Mag with the lvl 10 mod and it's firing at 20 bps.

yea at least mill the battery casing with at least something simple(like proteam but even better), its so ugly plain like that. And maybe a valve with a continuous look, not stepped like this one. Just some constructive criticism:). I love the rest of the gun though. I want to see one in black. Too bad i cant afford one yet.

hey Tom...AGD IS AWESOME. you have to be the GREATEST pb company around. I mean, you actually ASK the customers what they want(designs, logos, etc..) and take in the info and put it to work. I know it had been mentioned, but I don't recall a definite answer, will E-mag owners be able to send in their E-mags and upgrade to an Xtreme, or a C&C extreme body w/ ACE? If so, will they be able to keep their mainbodies and body rails or will those be kept by AGD as part of the conversion? I'm satisfied enough with my E-mag right now that i wouldn't buy a new C&C; just the level 10 stuff. But, if I could upgrade my E-mag to a C&C Extreme, i'd be all over it.

I agree Minimag4me! Mill the foregrip, and make some sort of new looking valve. Maybe let the frames take DYE Stickies? I know about the display, but just let people cut it out. Also, why not color coordinate the LEDs? Jsut some ideas. I mean, if you make the body look nice, why not make the whole package awesome?

Magluvr
05-29-2002, 10:20 PM
Just out of curiousity, what is that screw coming out of the feed area. Is it part of a ball detent? Also, did AGD decide to make their guns accept cocker barrels? I hope not because I love the mag barrels. They are more money, but what is ten dollars in the whole scheme of things.

By using cocker barrels, doesn't the mag's accuracy go down a little bit. I heard that the main reason mags shoot straighter than Spyders and what not is because the ball doesn't have to hop from the breech into the barrel. You may say this is hogwash, but until I get another good explanation of why mags are more accurate I'm going to stick with this hypothesis.

Can any one tell me any more info on the lvl. 10 mag upgrade i have no real clue what it really is just tell me a generlization of it plz or something. Any info will help.

BTAutoMag
05-29-2002, 10:27 PM
ok by making it accept cocker barrels TK solved a few probs.

no more barrel wobble

youi can remove the breach and pull a suegee through anyways

and accuracy is not the case, its all about consistancy. at 300 fps the C&C and a spyder will be the same accuracy. but its all about consistancy. with consistancy comes accuaracy cause you know where your next ball is going.

there are a few more but i cant remember

Ok I have a suggestion and 2 questions.

I will go with the suggestion first. If you held an E-MAG you know the grip is not for the small handed so for those with smaller hands to get a better grip and not change the frame itself, get Dye or AGD to make stickies. I have heard polls and I think I heard the Dye is making them but no confirmation on any of this but that could be cause I have been out of it for a while, so let me know.

1) Will all extreme's be coming with the freak stock and if not what will it have on it?

2) When and will you make Dave's design, not saying this current C & C isn't amazing but Dave's design was insane.

THANKS :)

That.... Looks..... Sweeeeeeeeet. That's the coolest Mag I've ever seen. If it had a 1x trigger option and some sort of wrap around grips, it would #1 on my list of guns to eventually buy (Until then, I think the Viking is still my favorite electro). Of course, that's just preferance, I'm sure this baby rocks performance wise! I'm glad that a lot of the stuff that I was hoping would be done to the Mag was finally done (Cocker threads, aluminum body, and a low rise vertical feed. The normal E-Mags' vertical feeds were horrendously high. Plus the eye is also sweet, and the cool milling is also welcome). A job well done AGD, this will hopefully get you guys the attention you deserve.

I know I'm gonna get ripped a new one for this, but I don't like it. Two reasons, mostly. If these could get fixed, I'd love it just like everyone else. First of all, that notch in the body exposes way too much of the valve. It would be fine if the valve was all one surface and not stepped like it currently is. The other problem I have is that the barrel sits too high up off the battery case, which I agree should be lightly milled. I'd like to see some better grips on it, too, so dye had better get off their collective duff and make some! Other than that, it's pretty darn sweet, but I'd rather have a normal extreme then have someone do the milling. That frosty anno job is tasty looking, though!

This is our first C&C design. We wanted to make this first one, very light, and mill off as much excess as was physically possible, and we based this on requests from you guys. We will produce different designs, in limited runs, the next one will probably be more cosmetic based.
Each design is very expensive to produce, particulatly in the design stage, so it would be nearly impossible for us to make small chnages for individual orders.
Everyone has different tastes, so we have to go with the design that appeals to the majority.
We will eventually offer a limited run of C&C Battery packs & frames, along with the circular battery pack and blade trigger, but it won't be for awhile, as we're swamped at the moment milling this C&C design.

Thordic
06-05-2002, 07:55 AM
Just an idea I had...

You should use a SS sleeve on the valve that sits up against the step in the valve, so it looks like a continuous cylinder. I can definitely see why people would not like that visible step in the valve. I think a sleeve would be a good idea. You could probably use Al too, but I don't know if the colors would match, and if you anno'd it to match the gun it would look weird.

manike
06-05-2002, 07:58 AM
Thordic, already thought of and being looked at.

It may be possible to have colour coded sleeves which we can cut through to and thus hi-light the inside of the milling :)

I'm just finishing the CNC code for my gun body which will allow us to test this out.

Thordic
06-05-2002, 08:16 AM
You still havn't made your weird lookin extreme? Get to it, man! We all want to see :)

Good to hear about the sleeves, though. I think something that simple might do a lot for the looks of the gun. I, for one, really like the way its cut, and if that step wasn't there, all the better.

John Sosta, AGD Europe
06-05-2002, 08:19 AM
When Manike first came up with this design, we were looking at the possibility of implementing a valve with a larger air chamber, that did not have the "step" down on it. That valve would have been a smooth continuous valve, so there would not have been any step visible. Since then, with the evolution of Lev 10, we have found that the low pressure valve isn't as necessary, and as it is not as gas efficient as the std valve, we will most likely go with the current valve.
The inside of the Xtreme bodies are different for each of these valves. For the standard step down design, we have a step inside the body for the valve to butt up against.
To use a sleeve over the std valve, the inside of the body would have to be reamed open. We might also have problems holding the sleeve in position, particularly as it would need an acurate hole in it for the on/off assy.

RobAGD

Jsut a note that Drop on that Blue C&C is Abob Long Apoc Drop. They have just enough to make the gun not long and give you an awsome shooting stance. Very very repeteable and comphy.

I just has to take that Shocktech 5.5" drop off it was fugly and icky to shoulder. While i had the gun I was thinking about breaking it in correctly but that was shot down by Tom :)

Anyway

In all honesty Phil I can't remember, but the prototype body was something like half the weight of the stock body! and the grip frame was also significantly lighter than the ULE version... so way, way lighter than the original E-mag frame.

Lighter than the SFL, hence EFL...

One more thing, are the new grip frames going to be smoothed out? I'm getting sick of cutting my middle finger on the sharp edge just below the trigger guard when i run with the gun.

WARPED1
06-15-2002, 03:13 PM
I don't see the big deal on these extremes, they're just a fancy lookin emag to me,who cares if they can do 20bps,soon every gun needs to be capped at 13.

OldSchoolMag
06-15-2002, 05:45 PM
Warped1, the point is that they CAN do 20bps, with NO shootdown. That means, that if/when capped to 13bps, you won't have to worry about shootdown (when the consitency drops) and you'll have some very solid strings. Plus, the E-Magnum board from modified paintball goes to 20bps.

Plus, the Extremes are lighter, because so many people regard 'Mags as overweight. So, by dropping the weight, they become lighter (obviously), and you can ... well, I really have no idea why that matters - I've never had any problems shooting my RT, and until someone mentioned it to me, it didn't even occur to me that my 'gun was heavy.

Also, they accept the more common Autococker barrels. These reduces barrel wobble, making your shots more likely to be more accurate.

Let's review - consistant, accurate, light, and very very purdy. Are you sold on one yet?

I Know Am Going To Be Flamed For This But... I really Dont like them the Middle and back are Cool but the space under and around the barrel drives me nuts and the battery pack is freakin bulky and ugly not to mention the trigger frame. Tom I love what you Do but This Mag Could Use A Little Work

I think the front would look cool with teeth carved in it! They could make it a yellowish/gold color and call it the "AGD LION" special edition marker!!!! MAYBE?! :D
