Is there somewhere on the Ao site that I can do a "look up" to find out how old my mag is? Is there a serial number search or something like that??

I don't think so. I remember Tom saying somewhere that the valves are manufactured , and then set aside. When the markers are to be assembled, valves are chosen randomly to be combined with the rest of the components. As such, a valve made rather recently could be used before a valve that had been made some time ago.
In any case, I don't think that too much emphasis is placed on the SN in regards to dating.

the only thing the serial number can do, as far as dating goes, is to tell when the valve was made. just my .02

In the great scheme of things, carbon dating is the way to go, but that's probably +/- a few thousand years...;)

yea..i also think think that the serial ##'s are just when the valve was made.

That is pretty much the fact. Valves are not installed in order as Markers are assembled. They may and are out of sequence from the actual assembly of the marker.
