D-Day at skirmish

I might actually be going to D-Day. I don't know yet, it's a matter of funds right now. I'm debating whether I should show off my lvl 10 mag or my new to me Shocker..It's ripping me apart, every logic says I just bought a new gun and should use it, but my heart says, lvl 10 is awesome and needs to be thrown into the faces of all mag haters!

AO Day is going to be vastly superior to D-Day, everyone in the area should come to AO Day and show some support for these great forums :)

i would, and would bring others but i like scenario games superior to rec play, and i really like d-day and i'm already registered. i'm sure there will be another OA day soon. plan one for august and i'll go and bring a couple other people.

I'm not going to D-Day, but my team is. Look for a big tall guy with curly handle-bar mustache on the American team. :D And I won't be going to AO Day either. You all plan stuff on weekends I go 4-wheeling.

D-Day is tomorrow!! I have to wake up at 4am to drive all the way out there and then on sunday drive 5 hours back. I'm considering bringing a tent so we can stay sunday and leave early monday tho.

Look for my mag, prolly with my boomstick, or rather better yet, even more unique, look for my buddies shocker that he painted flames on! My mag is in the background with a blue warp.

I am going to AO day, but man I would really liked to have gone to D-Day....maybe i'll cut out early and do both. its great when money is no object - eh?

I kinda wanted to be on the german side, but my buddy who is getting us free paint wants to be on the american side..and be the first one off the boat...He's a little tapped.

Can't wait to see you there, we were thinking about going up tonight, but A.) We have never been there and it will be dark, making it easier to get lost, and B.) I made plans to go out with my girlfriend tonight.

EDIT: Is there going to be a trade show of any kind there?

I wouldn't call it a "Trade Show" - probably a handful of vendors and the NationalPaintball semi. That's the way it was at Replicant Run last year. I think we had people from CrossFire, Centerflag, National, Custom Products, Paintball2Xtreme, Tippman and a few others.

I was planning to go since March, then i told my dad a weds that there were 1400 people going and now he said no. Man did i get screwed. But he said that he's gonna pay for me to play both saturday and sunday at my local field and he's gonna pay for me when i go to west virginia w/ my mom next week. But still i'd rather pass up 3 rec days to go to D-Day. I was looking forward to coming off the land crafts and getting mowed down.

I just called up a little bit ago and they said that they had almost 1600 people registered now. I technically haven't registered yet, however my friends brother's aunt/uncle own Skirmish so we are getting free paint and a reserved spot. :D

ok, so the germans won by 1000 points i believe, i got back to the end late b/c like 100 guys from the germans got lost in the woods, it sucked, oh well. it was a good fun time, but not very well organized. it was so much fun on the beach just mowing people down with the emag and it rocked. i only had like 2 barrel breaks and that was b/c i left the paint in my hopper over night.

also there were a lot more mags that i saw there then ever, not including my micro emag and my friends emag there were about another 7 or so that i saw and a whole bunch more RT's and the like.

also there were some vendors there, like national paintball supply, palmers pursuit shop(glenn palmer is the man, had a nice hour chat weith him), centerflag was there with the purple mag and Raven/kingman was there with some hot girls, i got my frined chris to take his picture with her.

oh well still an awesome event, something like 1775 people were there. hope everyone had fun, also met krazy ivan on sunday right before we left, pretty cool guy. oh well i got some pics so here they come.

My Team won Most Valuable Team for the Americans... It's just too bad I couldn't be there to help them win it.

D-day was awesome. I fortunately didn't have a problem with getting lost, however I was a little let down by night play. They didn't have any lights so you couldn't see anything!

Met Dropkick1, Nice Emag, but I felt bad after seeing it, his battery died and he had "a $1000 RT for the weekend" as he said. :( My mag's trigger was missing the pin to hold it in, so I used my buddy's benchy 2X, and his shocker died, so he used mine. Halfway through the first day though he took his frame back, and I took my shocker to rip full-auto.

My favorite memory has to be Me, my buddy A.J., and Millsz. We had to drag these god awful bulky/heavy drums into the Z swamp, (It's a ways INTO the woods) then when the XO told everyone (there were about 30-40 of us) to make a perimiter and protect the drums. We saw most of the team we came out with spread out and we just sat there, tired from carrying the drums. Don't you know, right behind us the bloody frenchman comes up with a bomb and kills the 3 of us and like 2 more people. That sucked.

eh, it only died on sunday around 1030, so it was rocking all day and night on saturday, oh well it was still fun.

magdog, we walked by u a couple of times then walking back to get reloaded, i did see more emags than i thought i did, i had my proteus with a skull painte don it and a black micro emag, if i had known u were gonna be there i woulda looked for ya.
