Ill be 21 before the end of the year...But Im too lazy to stand up :D I got a magazine, got invited to a game one thanksgiving break, addicted ever since (Nov '97) I love paintball because of the competitive nature, all the toys that come with it. And I also love seeing the little paintball fly out and land right on the intended target. Its kinda like the feeling you get after scoring in any other sport.

I turn 20 in 6 weeks, but I'll reply anyways.

It is the most rewarding hobby I have found so far, it gets me outside, and I enjoy spending money.

I started playing with a few friends of mine six years ago. They have all since stopped playing.

I've played for over 5 years now, started after I saw my first marker up close. Heard about a local tourney, liked what I saw, bought first gun, haven't quit since!!

I'm currently 31 years old. I first played the sport when I was around 23 years old. I played occassionally for many years after that but never got into the sport seriously because I lacked the knowledge of paintball markers and didn't own one until 2 years ago.

My first marker was a classic automag which I still have today. Ever since then, and after learning about this site, I've expanded my knowledge base and the love of the sport grew from there. It's just a great way to spend a day outside with friends and people who aren't afraid to get out and get dirty.

What's cool about this game is no matter what your playing style may be, you're instantly guaranteed a good time. It also allows me to be aggressive and play hard.

Granted, there are plenty of other things I enjoy with a passion. When asked what I'm doing over the weekend, where I can answer back, "I'm going out to shoot my buddies" and get away with it? Nothing like paintball that's for sure! :D

I'm 28. Started in college when some friends convinced me to try it out. Paintballing is a total rush of excitement. It's also like being a kid again (playing tag, cowboys and indians, cops and robbers, etc.) I only play recreation paintball though. I think (for me) tournament ball is too competitive and I don't have fun.:)

I'm 26, started when I was 14 because it was fun, and a good way to punish my friends older brother (payback for all of the misery he caused us back then--BB's, punches, noogies, melvins, etc, etc). Needless to say, 12 years later it is still just as fun, even without the bully factor.

Well let's see. I'm 22 and was first introduced to paintball when I was about 10 or 11. Why do I like it? At first it was just a fun thing to do with my friends on the weekends. Now that the only sports I'm participating in are sand volleyball and hockey, it's a great way to keep in shape. Not to mention exhilirating! Great way to meet people too.

Lets see...31 and started playing in 89. No idea what my first gun was, but it was a "rock and shoot". Got into in by a guy I served in the Army with...it was kinda OJT, us being Infantry (back when woods games were all there was.). Owned a bushmaster pump, which I still have, gone through several other guns, now settled on an emag. I play now because no one else I know does, and I can lie about how good I am!!!:D

well i'm not 30 but getting there (28)..... and couldn't agree more about the best escuse for exercise one could think of... besides... its a good reason to get out of the house and have some sort of sanity away from my twin daughters.... granted i luv them to death but i dread the day they get into this great sport of ours.... they are 7 now and once they hit 10 or so they can go with me and play.... at least they'll have so good markers to use... meanin i'll probly have 2-3 more by then..... i think i may have to get myself a pump of some sorts cuz once they start playin i think i will have a hard time payin for paint esp with the way i go through it.....

now i've been playin for the last 5 years.... single kinda by choice (ie dont actively search for a girlfriend, having twins keeps one busy enough)(fyi the twins live with me not their wacko mother... but shes another story to be told while drunk... not worth the time otherwise) =) though if i were to hit it off with someone, i'm sure i could work her into my life....

but i must get back to my week of quiet now.... grandma has taken the kids to cape cod for a week.... and will be doing so for most of the summer.........

Just hit 24.
Got into the sport with a friend. We'd been teaching each other in the sports at which we excelled. One person was always the expert and the other the novice. We were introduced to paintball at about the same time and have enjoyed being on a level footing. It's a good activity socially, some adrenaline on the field, and Time to chat between games.

my leg fell asleep so i'm just going to remain sitting. i'm 20 years old (21 next month). i like paintball because it's fun. don't ask why. it just is. my best friend john (sprayingmango) got me into it. also got me hooked on mags. now i'm a total paintball whore. spend all my money on either playing or new equipment.

p.s. i may not be single much longer. :D wish me luck.

I'm 37. Started playing back in 86. Love the sport for the
adrenalin rush. Just like sailing through the air on a dirt bike or flying down a hill on my mountain bike. Got to have that adrenalin. Also like the team aspeect of tournament play..Oh yeah and walking over a group of snot nosed 16 year old in less than 2 minutes after that talk smack about that team of old men.

Very true! One of them anyway, depending on who the person is and where they met me the nicknames change. Shooter is by far the most frequent though. Started in college and just spread to everyone I know. Half the people I know don't even know how I got it!
