my first tourney

Just finished my first tourney today, what a hoot.
The background, it rained all last night with showers today. (can anyone say mudball) A friend called me up and asked if I wanted to put a 3 man team together for a local GTPL tourney. So with no tourney or practice experience we went and played in the mud. Out of our 6 prelim games we scored 20 points on the first game, 10 on the 4th, and we did a max on the 6th. Needless to say we were maxed on the other three. The day was hilarious from the standpoint of trying to run and slide in the mud,people sliding past bunkers and scrambling on one hand and knees trying to get back. My wife hopes the pic she got of me doing the slide for life with both arms and legs flopping in the air turns out, she said I really looked funny sliding into the bunker like that. " it wasn't intentional,honest" so ends my first tourney experience. Do I want to play again?

ps: We tied for eighth in our rookie division

Get 2 more guys and play the Badlands Tourney on the 30th. No mud, lots of folks, and it's $40 person for 5 man.

90 points 1st game. 25 second and only 5 in the last.:( And we mist the final 4 by 15 points.

MMMMMMMMMM mudball Can you wassaga beach blitz? Back in the day(1993) I remember playing in the rain, what a mess! I was everywhere but behind the bunker I was supposed to be in. LOL What a mess! I had a VM68 back then, and the rain played havoc on it and every third ball broke..... Ahh the good old days with the good old equipment.;)
