HALO B Voltages

All,
I need to know how many AA batteries the Halo B uses. I want to run it off the E-mag battery and need to know what voltage to regulate the e-mag 18v down to. I don't have the Halo yet but I want to start working on the Voltage regulator.

dunno how good of an idea that is. your best bet is to set up the voltage reg and then resistors to get it to 9v
