The pressure is the same. The ball still needs the same energy to go 300fps as before, if anything the pressure has gone up because more energy is being wasted on moving the bolt.

yep still the same pressure.

so whats the speed?

Speed of what? The bolt vents of a little bit of pressure prior to completely sealing causing the bolt to go slow while venting then full speed and propelling the ball after the vent stage. I'm sure the bolt is a little slower top end than without lvl10 but not much. Nothing to worry about.

The bolt speed is about 4fps in the first stage and then I believe it gets up to about 10fps in the second stage.

I believe it dumps like 120-160 psi for the shot..I could be wrong though

That the gun's operating pressure means squat to wether or not it brakes paint. :)

Also tell him that the firing pressure actually moving the ball is very different to the operating pressure behind the valve or in the firing chamber.

Tell him the pressure that fires the ball is about the same as in the Impulse but that the level 10 with a retro valve can shoot at upto 26bps without drop off and is less likely to break paint now than his impulse!

Maybe he will learn something :)

Look at the high pressure gauge on your N2 tank and tell him that. It gets regged down where the paintballs fly at 300fps. @ 26bps (for the RT Valve)

Or, if you run CO2 like me, it's roughly 850psi, depending on the weather. :) And that gets regged down (internally, where there are no gauges) to where the paintballs go 300fps @ 12bps (for the classic valve)

Otherwise it runs at the same, or close to stock bolt.
