Hey Guys,

This is the problem at my husband's place of business a co-worker was fired. She had access to a password for a program DAC EASY for Windows, it is an accounting software on this Novell Server.

She didn't supply the password and she isn't cooperating. Right now we have our brother in law trying to find a back door into the software.

He can see it but can't access the customer files.

Would it be possible to get that information, or should they just give up?

Thanks for any help.

The administrator (or someone with admin level rights) should be able to reset her password if it's doing novell level authentication. If the program itself has an access password seperate from the novell server, you may want to contact the software developer for more assistance.

It definitely sounds like a Dac Easy problem and not Novell.

BTW what version of Dac Easy for Windows is it ?

Tie her up and prod her with electrodes until she gives up the password.

It seems as though they are just going to give up.

They currently are running on Dell Servers and the Novell was an old server that contained customer contacts that they wanted to extract, however they don't want to contact software companies and waste company time. So they are scrapping the idea.

Thanks for all of your assistance though.
