how about both, since the lvl10 is only 65 bucks. if you have an AIR valve, give them that and u get 100 bucks off the retro valve. use that saved money and get the lvl 10

hard to say.... personally I'd go with the level 10. It's cheaper than an ReTro valve, and you will have close to no chops, or no chops at all if you purchase it. That way you could save some extra money for the ReTro. I'm not sure when the lvl 10 is going to be released publicly though, so the ReTro would probably be a better idea. Best to let the beta testers fiddle with the lvl 10 before you buy one!

Level 10! From my experience it has to be the first upgrade for any gun! Then get the retro valve...

if you wait long enough it should come standard in the retro. but based upon the backlog AGD is working with it might be a while.

I would say retro, changed my playing a LOT. Odds are you wont chop with a retro, so you dont need level 10 yet. Also, you should just wait for the level 10 mods to be perfected, so you wont encounter any problems "beta testing." I would go retro now, level 10 mod later.

Level 10. IF you need to ask, you probably don't need a Retro.

My Level 10 kit is going in my mag, not my retromag/doorstop.

Just curious, what don't you like about the ReTro valve? I've never really shot one so I don't have any experence with one.

Hey Mykroft,
Would you consider getting rid of the retro valve for a new classic valve and some cash (for the level 10)? If you dislike the Retro, I'd take it off your hands so you can set up another non-door holding marker and have at it.
:D :D

I'm going to defy popular opinion and say Level 10. You can learn to be really quick on an AIR valve, and they don't have noticeable shootdown until after 16bps or so. It's great to have such a strong sense of security that you don't even need a squeegee. Level 10 is also a LOT cheaper, they're both different, but I say, Level 10 now, ReTro later.

If you have an adj. tank to fully take advantage of retro, and really want an adj. trigger i would say retro valve. I personally would say lvl 10 because it will stop all chopping and is only going to be $85.

Origionally I was gonna tell you to get the retro first... (considering many people *myself included, knock on wood* dont have a choppign problem with it)

However, BECAUSE YOU CANT AFFORD BOTH... I will say the Lvl10 mod simply because you CANT AFFORD TO SHOOT AN RT...:D (my paint consumption doubled instantly  ) its just tooo easy to let out a string of paint.... do yourself a favor.. get the LVL 10 and spend the rest on a well played day at the field....

Get the level 10 first. Take care of the ball chopping first. Shooting fast doesn't matter if you chop paint.

I take that back. Get the ReTro, but wait until the Level 10 comes standard on the ReTro Valve. That way you'll save some bucks.

For the folks questioning my about my Retro, the valve is wonked. The thing never has worked right, I suspect the internals (Reg & on/off) need to be completely replaced, and it's got mismatched serial #'s. this valve has been tried in 3 different mags, after a full set of o-rings and a new on/off pin, and the bloody thing still won't work right. So It's the doorstop, and the Automag68 s/f which has never let me down for more than 5 minutes(reg seal replacement, happened twice) is my rec ball gun.

Go ReTro!!!!
I got a used retro valve off of the forums and it came in yesterday. All i can say is "damn." That thing is crazy. I shot a whole hopper as fast as I could, and didn't have any breaks. Get the retro valve, it's worth it.
