Ok I have to ask, what is it with sight rails??? I've looked at a LOT of used guns always to be disuaded with the lack of sight rail... and some guys don't even know what they did with it. I'm just curious? where is the sight rail graveyard?

Never had one, never will on my mini. Just for show for me, dont use a scope, dont sight right into my PF, so whats the point

I sight down the side of the Marker (below the hopper). So, I don’t USE my sight rail AS a sight rail. It is however ON my Marker. I think they add better lines and styling to the marker… it is a visual choice for me, not one of actual usefulness.

I like bolt on sight rails. As in the old style RT and the Emag, they actually BOLT onto the rail, whereas if you look for a rail for the Auto or Minimag you'll find that they slide on and have a set screw. Now these often just vibrate loose and also because it's only one screw holding it on, it will often have a odd angle to it, pivoting on the screw.

From this I can honestly say I bought one for looks, it wiggled free and I threw it in my tool box, then 2 days later realized that it would be better back on the store shelf, and I returned it for a power tube spacer kit. (Which is obsolete now with lvl 10  )

Sight Rails= Boo Hiss!

The only marker I have with a sight rail is my angel, and that's because I haven't replaced it with the Dye rail, which is merely cool looking, but not a sight rail.

sitting in my gear box, mags lose some of their "tube on a gripframe" appeal when you slap a sight rail up there.

that being said, my sightrail is pretty (blue mirror finish), anyone want it cheap? ;)

mmmm sightrail pie
i like sightrails they have a distinct look to them as for losing weight on the gun all i can say is are you kidding me i took my emag rail off and then put it right back on its almost weightless and if its weight is to much for you someone needs to start lifting a little weights cause i know a half a ounce dont make my game any different.

I originally bought my sight rail for both look and to mount a red dot sight on it. This was 10 years ago. I never wanted a flashy gun, but without *something* it just looked too plain. Ocassionally I mount a red dot site on it now but in all honesty I've only used it maybe twice in all these years. Now I just keep it on because it's old school.

I use a sight rail on my minimag, but only for the looks, it also is part of the splash kit on the gun. I dont use one on my warped mag, but have been thinking about adding a black one just to break up the red body. Sight rails are only useful for looks imo.
