Texas AO meet in Austin????

We just had a AO meet in Fort Worth on the 29th and a lot of ppl had a great time even though the fields AND refs were bad. Sadly not everyone from Tx was able to make it that weekend because the were busy or simply because it was a far drive.

*EDIT* updated info....... ok, This Austin meet is happening on Saturday the 27th of this month at www.pettypb.com as long as you say your with Capo and I field fee, all day air, and BYOP will be 10 bucks even. We WILL have Sup Air up for that day and really hope we get a great turnout. Joe Petty is a good guy so I wanna give him some business. Keep posting on here to let us know everything is a go and you all are coming...

more info---bring chairs...also, there is no netting between the fields so if you bring ppl that want to watch then they must wear a mask(petty's will have some but bring your extras if you got em) . There is no shade in the field area, if you will be watching and think the heat will get to you then bring an umbrella or something.

everyone print out maps from petty's website it is easy to get lost so make sure you have a map!(even print out back-up maps, lol!)

the 26th, 27th, or 28th would be best for me(that is the last fri, sat, sun of this month) because my bro is gonna be in colorado for about a week and a half in the middle of the month and he is my ride. i think we should be able to get a god amount of people... i know spoons and crizo said they would come, and im sure a couple people from houston might be able to come. everyone go check out that link that havoc posted, pettys has got some AWESOME fields and really good prices too. count me in!!! hopefully i will have my new tank, intelli, and warp by then:D

ok peeps, I have great news, I was playing today at Petty's and was talking to him about having the AO meet there the last weekend of this month and he told me to tell everyone who wants to have a great time that he will give our group only(as long as you say your with me and Capo) :cool:field fee, all day air, and BYOP for 10 bucks even:cool:. He will also set-up the supair for us(I told him that it would most likely happen on Saturday) but...I'd really recommend simply buying the paint at his field since it's very cheap just to give him a little business for the hook-up unless you already have paint laying around.....LMK what you think....:)

I wouldn't mind making the trip to Tampa - estimated distance 1174.0 miles, 27 hours 26 minutes travel time. Which translates into 43 hours for CRiZO and I.. The problem lies in getting back to Tampa.. cause from Dallas - Tampa - Austin - Tampa - Dallas.. that's like 300$ in gas. (meaning you should buy the 60$ plane ticket instead) But I must admit, that would be a hella fun trip, and if money weren't an option I'd do it! (but my gas card expired :(:()

i too once had a racegun, but i moved to the darkside and became another hated angel user. since then i've become a hundred times more deadly on the field. let your gaurd down for even a second daroach, and i'll give you so many welts you'll go home looking like the elephant man. so consider this me slapping you in the face and yelling I CHALLENGE YOU DO A DUAL!

but seriously daroach, i switched due to reliability issues and poor customer service. there is a way a racegun can get taken out for an extended period of time. it's design flaw. i found it and i won't say since you're my bud. however i will fix it for you if i ever get the chance to make one of these get togethers. (i don't want you to have any excuses for why i beat you so bad, lol)

anyways, that gives me a good idea. we could have several air ball one on one duels or grudge matches. make it like a mini tournament until there's only one person left. it would be alot like an AO king of the hill (not the show) the "king" would have bragging rights until the next get together. well anyways it's just an idea, something to keep it fun and competitive.

actually tampa is only a 15 hour drive from here 14 hours if u keep up @ 80-90 mph (i love radar detectors!)

any ways i may or may not be able to go on the 27th if just depends what is going on, paintball aint a priority right now, earning cash is :)

I DO LOVE Intimidators, but like and appreciate ALL Markers.
I like to tinker, repair, build parts, customize, etc. and Level 10 has me looking at Mags again - OH MY - DID I SAY THAT!

As for BBQ, Chisholm Trail BBQ in Lockhart has a MEAN Family Pack for about 12 bucks that will feed 3 or 4 folks.
It is only about 15 minutes away and you could send someone on a GROCERY RUN for lunch!!!
It includes a lb. of brisket, a big sausage link, and 3 pints of sides like beans, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, blackeyed peas, etc., sauce and bread or crackers. We have paper plates and drinks, but you will need plastic forks/spoons/knifes. These are available TO GO only and we usually get them once or twice a month when we have a long day at the field - highly recommended. The guy that owns it was the cook for the famous Blacks BBQ in Lockhart for many years before he opened his own place.

tx,all of my equipment is designed for printing on paper:( however,i went to my local arts and crafts store and got iron on letters and put my screen name on my harnes in 1 inch letters for the 27th.if you want the lens thing though your local arts and crafts store should sell sheets (try sayin that 3 times fast)in 1/4 to 1/2 inch stick on vinyl letters.

On BBQ:
They are to go or eat in.
They have a pretty big dining room with A/C.
The family pack is to go only, I think, but everything is available inside the dining room.

There is also a small family restaurant about 4 miles away in Red Rock that makes plates and hamburgers. You can sit down or get fast food to go.

Lockhart is in a DRY county - they have to leave to get drunk!

If you do decide to go to Lockhart to eat in, it's an easy exit north up 183 to Austin or south on 183 to 10 and then west to San Antonio or east to Houston.
