Ok heres the deal. I like the look of the old style rt bodys and can get one real cheep. now if i cut a portion of the back half of the body can I get a retro valve to fit it?

I don't think it would work.If I remember correctly, the whole velve and bolt assemly on the original RT is a smaller diameter. So you would have to cut the body away right to the bolt spring seat to fit the larger parts. Now cutting off the front section and getting it tig welded, machined and polished would work. But might be a little expensive.

Yes it will work. This is a pic of my old mag...Ultimator has the body now...and the rest of it is all over the country:( :( :(
I used a chop saw to hack the end off, and always measure twice!

I have a friend who no longer has his rt but while lookin through his old gear we found a crome rt body. He has no use for it so he said he would sell it to me for $25 dollars. And sorry its the only one he has. Thanks for all the help.

I forgot to mention one thing...If you are putting the body on a regular Automag rail then you need to sand the body pem down. They are longer on the RT's than on regular MAG bodies.
