In every picture I've seen of the Automag where the powerfeed connects to the main body, there's a nice weld mark going all the way around. Well, on mine, there's a big gap on both sides. Could this affect the function of the powerfeed since C02 is escaping through these gaps? Can I have this repaired?

I am pretty sure my powerfeed body was the same way. Now i have a minimag body and there is like an oring there.

well pretty much every mag i have seen is like that.....

for those that didnt like it (for the fact that if you take a shot there it gets paint in there) the quick proven fix is to put a oring there.... ie go from the top of the p/f and the force it over the bottom end of the p/f and wal-la instant fix =)

Ok, what size o-ring do I need? Thanks for the suggestion!

it is part of the powerfeed design...i believe it was to vent any blow back gas to stop it from forcing balls back up the feed tube. depending on how fast you fire your gun you shouldn't really notice a difference if you block it off.

Mine is only welded on 2 sides also...and my mag is brand new, the mags you saw could have been older models

a barrel o-ring works perfectly.
