Whats better, the new freak or the old freak.

I have an old full feak kit and i was wondering if the old ones ae more durable and better than the new ones. since the new ones are thinner and lighter. also does it matter if you have black alum. or SS.

There is little difference in the Aluminum backs, apart from Jewels. The New Stainless backs are much thinner, and I suspect maybe a little fragile.
