Go with the CP, I like them better then smart parts barrels.

Each time you go and play you should try the paint to barrel test with the paint you are going to be using. That will tell you which barrel to use.

accuracy/distance: Same velocity, same bore. Two ported inches won't make much difference. What is the length of the non ported part of the barrel on each?

CP 10" will probably have about 9" of unported length, that's what I remember from my old CP.

The teardrop looks like it has about 6 or 7, the CP will probably be a bit more efficient.

I think It's more about looks and cost, since they're both the same bore size, so accurracy will be the same, and as far as distance goes:

289 fps is 289 fps. Doesn't matter which barrel it comes out of.

If you like how the CP looks, I'd say go for that. It's the best bang/buck ratio of any barrel, IMO.

He's just asking which one he should use peoples, he already owns them both! : )

Anyways - You probably will not see any real significant changes between either of them. Given that they are the same bores and fit your paint well, the velocity consistency/range will be exactly the same (unless one has a borked internal finish).

You may find the one with the longer length of unported barrel to be slightly more gas efficient (not sure how a 12 SP and 10 CP measure up in that area) and that one is louder than the other (more porting/less)

So take them out, try em one, shoot a few balls, whichever one sounds better and looks best should be your choice.

You're welcome, and besides I enjoy bringing sense to what is becomming the senseless (if that makes sense)

I would go with with CP barrel i have nothing but bad experiances with SP that is why i refuse to buy a freak.
*EDIT* and yes i know yu own both im just saying i would use the CP barrel ;)

Agree with both Magman and Trans.

Check the unported length of each and pick accordingly. That will only effect gas use though. Everything else is opinion.

My OPINION: I would use the CP. Every time I use a SP barrel bad things happen. Purely coincidental etc, but hey it's a reoccuring event. That's why I'm reticent to buy a freak. ;)

I would go with the SP. I've had too many problems with CP's breaking paint at the tip. Also check the internal Diameter of the CP, I've seen .689 CP's that are actually around .683
