I found a great deal on a micro emag that has some problems. I was wondering if I send it to AGD or PTP (I'm pretty sure it would be PTP.) Do they charge to fix them, or is it free like AGD. And how is PTPs customer service?

Huh? I don't get it.

Virus, the guy said the battery does last as long as it should, and he showed me a pic and the safety was missing, let me find the pic. I'll post it in a sec.

emag2002: No caps please. All caps means that your are yelling.

marley618: I don't remember anyone saying anything about that the safety is connected to the battery. I pretty sure it's a mechanical safety and that shouldn't be an issue with the battery. Based on the picture I can't see anything wrong(sp?) with the battery but that doesn't mean anything.

Where in VA do you live? There's a Pevs in Fairfax where a guy named Rob is the AGD tech. If you want his number, PM me and I'll send you the number.

Are you buying the Micro E-mag off of someone on AO?

There is nothing visually wrong with the battery, it just doesn't charge all the way or something. I don't have it yet so I don't know all the details. The guy selling it (from PBN) was thinking about trading it but if that doesnt work out it's mine. The mechanical safety is missing. It's that hole that goes all the way through the gun behing the grips. I'm in southern VA, so PEV's is far away. I do go to northen VA ocassionally and I lived in fairfax about 4 years ago.

Up, I need to know if either AGD or PTP will fix it for free, and for anyone with a PTP micro emag, do you noctice anything wrong with the gun in that pic? Thanks for the help.

This makes me wonder also, what exactly was all thr bad rep going around about micro_E's? I remeber Russ having a hellish experience with them.

Can someone enlighten us?

i've got the same gun and it works fine. i also just took the saftey out this weekend b.c the safety spring was bent and wasn't working. but i would call agd and see what they say. i registered my micro emag with them so i don't think it really matters.

I'm going to get it then, if i come up with the cash. If I can't get it I will post it here so someone else can buy the gun from him.

send it to AGD!!!!

i have a PTP Emag aswell and it was FUBAR. i gave it to a loacl tech(since i couldnt get it to work) and he charged me $50 so that it would break again within a week. i sent it off to AGD and got it back 9 days later(maybe 10 or 11). new circuit board, new reg springs, new bolt/bolt spring, new valve orings. the total cost, shipping it to them(cost around $15 with insurance and all)

i highly recomend sending it to AGD. they will take care of it

I haven't heard too many tech problems with the micro e's, just that they tend to chop more than normal e mags.

As if that matters anymore.. :D

The safty spring in my emag did the same thing. It cost me $1.50 for the spring and ball, and although it was a bit harder to install than i thought it was much better to spend 30 min on it than sending it in to agd for 3 weeks. I really like the mechanical safty because sometimes when you flip on the electronics and its already gassed and loaded the gun fires.

Heres something that will make all the Micro E owners cringe in their beds at night:

Sorry for digging up a dead thread, but Marley, how did the gun turn out? Does it have probs? Or did it work flawlessly?

Sorry for not replying sooner. But when I asked him his address to send the money he said "I sold it locally." So no microemag for me:(

Good call!

I just noticed that too, I bet it leaked, I wonder if the seller knew that a $1.50 pin wouldve fixed that?

Thats what happened to my Micromag when the pin uunsrewed itself on the field, the sear could no longer hold the bolt back so it leaked like crazy.

Wonder what else was wrong with it?

And Marley, sorry to hear that, that Micro-E for 500 was a damn steal, I even wonder if it was a stolen marker, it had to been to let it go for that cheap =).
