According to the 2003 (2002 has already happened) Alario Center event schedule, Mardi Gras Open is Febuary 19-21. An official flyer is'nt up yet. I plan on going but I can't tell you when I'll be getting there. It depends if I throw together a team to play this year or not.

hehe. Bring your beads anyway. Mardi Gras is great and a ferry takes you right over the river and drops you one block from Bourbon Street.

Well according to the Alario Center website's calender it's in Febuary. It threw me off, too. Here's the link...http://www.alariocenter.com/feb.cfm

That's last year's online flyer. Any of those on the Westbank expressway will work. It's right down the road from the center.

Coolness. I found some reaally good deals by taking the link from the Alario Center site to hotels. Also, and idea how to get tickets for the event. I know its abit early yet, but i need to get the trip planned out so i can start saving the cash.
Thanx once again

Are you playing or just watching and hitting the trade show? If you're just going to wander around it does'nt cost a thing.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? No admission? Yea i am just going to check it out. Dont get me wrong i would love to play but i cant even seem to get a rookie team together, must less one to play at that level. I am having a hard enough time getting people just to commit to going. But yea i am going to be a spectator.

Well then, I'll see you there.:D Be prepared to work. If you show up and Tom knows you're an AOer, he'll put you to work behind the table. It was a massive amount of fun last year.

That would be awesome. But there is just one thing. How in the world would i know who you guys are and like wise for me? But hey, if i could get a chance to work with you guys i may just leave my lamb friends at home. But it would be a long boring drive from NC to New Orleans. But i am sure it would be worth it. Thanx again for all your info. One more thing, any idea how far this place is from the french quarter? i am finding some pretty good hotel rates for that area.

Well if enough AOer's are going to show up there will be an official AO donut meet and greet. We can always meet up at the AGD table.

The hotels and Alario Center are on the other side of the river from downtown New Orleans but almost all hotels offer a free shuttle to the docks where a free ferry will take you across. The docks are about 6 blocks from Bourbon Street. It's easy to find. Follow the smell of beer and the sound of a huge party.
