I've notice that the flatline seems to be very simialrly designed as the A.I.R. If a ReTro valve based flatline(use same reg piston, spring pack, reg nut...) were made thoeretically it would recharge fast enough to keep up with an e-mag at 20bps. What do you think? Would this be possible?

The current Flatline recharges fast enough to keep up with an E-Mag at 20cps.

then why did a scuba tank have to be used in the e-mag at 20bps video?

A) Who said it had to be used?

B) what does the volume of the tank have to do with the recharge rate of the regulator used?

I do not follow your logic.

They use a scuba tank in test all the time. It is there for convieneince. the rate at which a reg recharges has nothing to do with how big the tank is. The emag could have gone on and on to empty the scuba tank if it wanted too.

it definately does not have to be used.

We do 20 BPS at will. with oldschool raptor airsystems.

that graph shows that, yes, while the tank recharges really fast, it doesnt react very quickly. notice that the pressure gets farther down than the other two before it starts returning. this almost negates the faste recharge. an RT based reg would react almost instantly and recharge very fast. i would certantly buy one (tank or inline) if it was capable of running at about 80-100 psi.

Scubas don't have a regulator built in so you wouldn't be testing reg recharge rate. What you could do is drain a scuba tank to your desired input pressure, say 800psi. Then you'd just crank her open. The scuba has sufficient volume that the pressure will stay pretty close to 800psi for the first XXXX shots.

Basically, if you had an infinit supply of 800psi air, then you wouldn't need a reg and you wouldn't have to worry about it keeping up. A scuba isn't an infinit supply but its pretty large.
