I hate field paint only because i dont want to buy a case for 70 when i can get the same paint for 35. Fields do this to make more money and often fpo fields are very profitable.

yes, fpo blows, near me it is 100 for a case, i think byop fields are more popular, but there arent any around me

Well my feild is FPO but their prices arnt too bad they have anarchy for 60 a case. So i dont mind payin it cause it would be about the same with shipping if i didnt and they make a little extra cash. I even pay 2 dollars more for my tank to get filled cause i dont really care and I want to have nice place to play.

Field paint is surely some of the worse crap around. I play in NYC, Long Island and the surrounding area, and I understand that land is expensive so fields need to make a profit, but the crap fields try to pass of as "premium" is just that, crap. If I pay $100-110 for a case I want to get real premium like RPS Marballizer, not Dia-blows.

oh man, my field turned from BYOP to FPO and i think we lost some customers ( like we had any to lose). but we sell MARBS for 80 a case and if my boss goes to a new distrubitor that price will be coming down.

Marbs
Slam
JT Maxim
AllStars
Steel are all 80$ a case

PMI Premium
Anarchy are 70$ a case

Point Blank
Xtreme paintballs are 60$

and on thursday nights we sell 500 round bags of extreme as low as $12.50:D are these prices decent? i think so...

Ok the MAIN reason for FPO is because alot of feild are insured by the APL Insurance Policy which strictly prohoibts use of paint brought to the feild, now if the feild is insured by NPPL(*not sure*), which costs quite a bit more, then BYOP is used alternatively.

But most newer feilds and such use FPO because of 1)Cheaper Insurance and 2)More short-time profit. Just thought Id enlighten you fellow AO'ers...

Don't mind it at all, as long as I can get decent paint, and I don't pay 10c a ball for a 1/2 case or a case(Canadian Peso's of course).

If you are going to sell the cheap paint for 7c a ball in cases, allow me to buy JT Maxim or Chronic or Hellfire for 8 or 9c a ball in a case, I'll gladly pay more for top quality paint.

the field i really like to play at is fpo and its 80 a case for team colors or polar ice. so i play at other places where i can bring the paint i like. and in nj there are 2 byop places that are decent and 2 that are very good.

FPO is ok if
1)IT is reasonably priced $60 a case is fine. $100 is a rip off.
2)The paint is good I dont feel like paying $60 for a case of banana scented great american paintballs.

FPO is really one of the only way field owners can make money off the field. I have a field I go to that is BYOP or buy ours. What they do is regular days like walk on its byop but on tournie days its FPO. This gives them a chance to make some money off the players who basicly mooch off there fields.

Wc, can you post these byop fields. I noticed you'r in Jersey and being in NY myself, I would not mind going to a field that is either byp or at least has reasonably priced fields paint.

wow...i only pay $40 at my field i go to. i'm not sure what the brand of the paintballs are but they're not that bad. and he's hosting a 3-man beginner tourney and selling diablo blaze i believe for $70. it's not the greatest field around but he's still working on it. he's putting up a 10-man hyperball field and 2 5-man sup air fields. he's gonna have the best field here but he's not doing so great on business and he's having a hard time paying bills. sorrie for goin off topic.:D
